If you are looking for a place to install a remote starter DO NOT go here! I went to get my remote start installed and they did a bad job my truck didn't want to start because the anti theft lock kept engaging. I called and spoke to someone about my issue to which they gave me steps to follow, My truck delayed 40 minutes to be able to turn it on. They suggested I take it back to their shop for them to take another look. They saw that the 1st work that was done for the remote starter was not installed correctly. They assigned a different mechanic to fix the problem. From that moment on I had no more issues until the next day when my truck started doing the same thing nor wanting to start with the remote starter. I even bought a new battery thinking maybe that was the new issue. It turned on normally after until again the next day the same issue happend where my truck didn't want to remote start. My neighbor caught my attention that my brake lights were being turned on without even using my brakes and that is what killed my old and new battery. I returned to this business VERY frustrated and told them to Uninstal the remote starter they put in the second time. They told me if I take it off they would only refund me half of what I paid. I told them I deserve my full refund! I asked to speak to the owner of the establishment and I could not verify who was the actual owner to which they told me I'd have to wait since the owner stepped out to get some car parts. I waited from 9am to 5pm!!! Wasted 8 hours of my day just for him to never return. I told them I would come back the next day, when I arrived the next day I noticed a person left as soon as I arrived in a hurry. A worker told me that he was the owner I asked for them to call him and ask for him to return so he could give me proper service. The worker told me he would be back momentarily. They suggested they could have a more experienced mechanic take a look and see if he could resolve the issue or they would only give me a refund of half of the full amount that I had paid. To which I decided to give them 1 more chance, and after the "more experienced" mechanic supposedly fixed the issue. My truck yet again failed to start the next day. To which made me decide to take it to a different mechanic and this other mechanic took 4 days doing test and finally he determined the system of remote start was the main issue that was causing my truck not to start. This new mechanic charged me only $600 to which I gladly paid. I have proof the new mechanic where he confirmed that was the only issue. I wasted $ for a new battery, mechanic labor, A lot of frustration from this establishment I wasted 3 tow truck trips I had available from my insurance. I took my Slingshot to Soundbytes Automotive, and it's been constant issues ever since. I had speakers and LED lights installed. The first time, there was a problem with the interior lights not changing colors. The second time, there was an issue with the speakers; they told me the new speakers they installed had damaged my stock ones. The third time, around October, I had to go back again because the lights stopped working, and they advised me to bring it in once more. Now, a year later, I'm still having the same issues with the lights. Last month, I took it in, and they informed me that the lights weren't covered under warranty anymore since it had been over a year, so I had to pay out of pocket again. Now, less than a month later, my lights are out again. I originally chose this place because I wanted quality service and trusted they knew what they were doing, but here I am, taking my Slingshot in yet again. It's been a really bad experience for me. I called today to schedule an appointment to have the lights on my Slingshot checked for the fifth time. I've lost count of how many times I've brought it in for this issue. I spoke with Octavio, who said everyone was busy and promised to call me back today. It's now 8 PM, and I have not received a call. This is very unprofessional. First of all, don’t let this shop persuade you they don’t recognize my email account because I surely did make a large purchase from them. This place is very unprofessional, and techs and sales are amateurs. I bought a sound system and other components costing more than $2K. I had to return several times to have the system repaired after the install and they were never able to install what I paid for. Their explanation was, what you want is not available on your vehicle, even after they sold it to me. Best part about is, I went to Best Buy and they were able to clean up their mess with no issue but I had to spend more money unfortunately to have it done right. Even through the whole install process the sales guy gave me excuses as to why he didn’t call me when there was an issue. He’d rather ambush me with the issue when I arrived and I didn’t even have an opportunity to give my input as they had already decided what was best for me; since they didn't call me as the issue arose. Save yourself time, aggravation, disappointment and money and go somewhere else. Also they left cable insulation scraps everywhere along with wire scraps and other trash. I also found a scratch on my bumper which was not there. Clean up after yourselves guys, you are supposed to be a professional shop!!! I will not spend another...
