FYI - Please check your bank or credit card statements when using your debit/credit card at this restaurant. I paid for 2 lunch buffets on 3/27/22 with my credit card and tipped the server with cash. When I went online to check my posted transactions, I noticed the person who ran my card gave himself an extra tip. I had to make a special trip to the restaurant today (4/1/22) just to resolve this. No big deal if I didn't live 35 minutes away. I had asked to speak with the owner several times only to be told he/she was very busy. He/she couldn't have been that busy considering there were only 2 people sitting there having lunch. The gentleman who refused to get the owner was the same gentleman who ran my card that day we ate there. He "claims" that perhaps the credit card company made a mistake. I doubt it was a CC error since my transaction was for $36.53, and yet my card was charged for an even $40. He just didn't expect me to catch it. Sure it wasn't a large dollar amount, but that's not the point. It's the principle of the matter. Had I not checked my transactions (and most people don't) I would not have caught it. Granted he did not make a huge fuss about it and returned a $5 bill to me, but I can't say if I'll ever eat here again because of this whole situation. It's unfortunate because I do love their food, but I can't justify supporting a business if I have to worry about being cheated when I use a card to pay for my food. I do hope the owner sees this post and addresses his/her employees about...
Read moreThis place probably sells the best Indian food in town! I don't think there is any other place that sells food better than Doaba. The taste is just too good! That is why I have went here several times, but I have now officially stopped my visit here. The price of everything is outrageous and the quantity you receive is so little. For example, their chicken biryani is the size of a kids meal. Absolutely disgusting. Quality is not the only thing that matters, quantity matters too or else don't charge ridiculous prices. I think the pricing of the food menu here is the reason why every time I have come here, the place is empty... I am the only customer usually. If you are rich and have too much cash laying around, sure, I'd recommend this place because you will need to spend a lot of money as the food quantity is very poor. If this restaurant doesn't stop charging ridiculous prices on items that is the size of a small kids meal, I don't think they will...
