Gavel lot was sizable, and the ramp was just as pictured. No bathrooms or taps for filling water bottles or washing off the boats. We managed to put in here without getting our feet wet, and paddled left (upstream, until we encountered some obstacles (at approximately woodmere rd and hamlet lane). We were unwilling to get our feet wet (to pull the boat through the shallows) so we turned around. Heading downstream, we made it further, but turned around at another shallow spot (location screen-shot below). I think if we had stuck to the right when the river forked, we could have made it through. We will try that next time. There is no current here unless downed trees are blocking too much of the river, so there is no issue getting back to your car if you paddle downstream.
There were a few fishing boats out, so the launch spot is definitely being used. The waterway was quiet and beautiful with the leaves changing colors. We saw mallards, belted kingfishers, a bald eagle, and our first mink!! We will...

The ramp looks sturdy, made of concrete blocks. There is parking right there on the dirt lot.
