I would not recommend this upholstery shop. The left hard, yellow glue on my carpet and when I took it back to get it removed they didn't get the color out of it and it stained the carpet. Also, there is still glue under my seat from them replacing the leather on my car seat which I noticed when I got home to check the area after it was dry. I won't dare go back to ask them to try to remove it since it didn't work the last time and they thought it was funny and made fun of me. They also put the back of my seat on incorrectly and I had to go back because they broke off a plastic hook when they tried to put it back on. The first time I noticed it was when I picked up my car. At that time, they banged it back together and thought they had fixed it and it took 3 of them to do it. I had to go back again and listen to them laugh at me because I wanted the work done correctly the first time as if they were used to people having to come back all the time. They want you to pay in cash and we all know what that means! If I were you I would go somewhere else and pay more to get the job done professionally and right the first time. The icing on the cake was when we noticed that the carpet color I picked was not put in my car. I picked exactly the right match but when I got the car home and was trying to clean off the remaining clue from the back carpet I couldn't believe that I had totally been hosed, the carpet was 10 shades off in color. it was dark in the garage when I picked it up and all I was concerned about then was my seat was falling apart on the back and there was glue on the carpet. My car is 10 years old and people tell me how good it looks for its age because of how good I take care of it. This doesn't even rate a 1 on a...
Read more5/5 stars! I'm absolutely thrilled with the exceptional upholstery work Arlo did on my '73 Travelall. Arlo truly is a master of his craft. He reupholstered the door panels, armrests, seats, visors, and dash pad with precision and attention to detail.
Arlo took the time to understand my vision and recommended the materials and colors to match the truck's original style. He even added some nice touches, like the elegant stitching on the seats and door panels, which exceeded my expectations.
The quality of the work is outstanding, and the care he took to restore my truck's interior is evident in every detail. The seats are incredibly comfortable, and the visors and dash pad look like they came straight from the factory.
Arlo's professionalism, communication, and passion for his craft are exceptional. He kept me informed throughout the process, and his dedication to delivering top-notch results is impressive.
If you're looking for exceptional upholstery work, especially for a vintage vehicle, look no further than Arlo. His expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to quality are unparalleled. I couldn't be happier with the result, and I highly recommend Arlo to anyone seeking outstanding...
Read moreWent to a few highly rated shops for new upholstery for my 2002 Jaguar XK8. One came out for about 2 minutes and gave a verbal quote barely looking it over. Didn't really tell me anything or suggest ideas. Another, no one was around the shop and didn't really seem like they were working on anything. I went to see Arlo at AFAB and he took time talking about what and how needs to be done. Went out to the car, sat in it, and spent time looking it over. Came back into the shop and looked at suggested leather and other materials. Came up with ideas on what would look good and what would not. My wife and I even had a different idea and he suggested not to do it because less is more with our car (black exterior and tan interior...we want more black in the seats. Ended up with what he suggested and looks fantastic!). We trusted what he says since he is the professional and knows what he is doing. The seats and center console turned...
