My daughter had been shopping at a few local Goodwills to get her wardrobe ready for her first year of high school. We came into this store with 8-10 return items from 3-4 different stores. Tracy the manager was so kind and patient with my daughter and I. She made conversation and reassured my daughter that high school would be amazing. She complimented her taste in clothes and gave her a few tips and tricks! I called my wife to tell her how great the manager was, how she was the sweetest women I had met in a long time. But the story doesn’t end there Tracy came and found us after we had been shopping for an hour. She used her own money to purchase a gift card for my daughter. She said I want to make sure you have the best first year and that you get the clothes you really want! I almost cried that a stranger could be so incredibly sweet. She not only did something so kind, but gave my daughter confidence about something that has been giving her dread and anxiety. I was so moved by her generosity and kindness that I will be paying it forward, but I want Tracy to get all the love she deserves. It was obvious how hardworking and kind she was. I saw her interact with everyone around her in the same manner. Even though it was the end of the day and I’m sure she was exhausted. This is how we are suppose to treat each other. This is what human compassion and kindness looks like. Thank you Tracy, I can say that we are lifelong customers now and forever. But more importantly you taught my daughter...
Read moreI use to love this GoodWill but it’s clearly under new management and the shopping experience has really declined. There are hardly employees working there since they windows are covered in “ Hiring Now” signs. After my shopping experience today I can harbor a strong guess why. The entire process of GoodWill is to provide affordable prices to used donated items as away to help low in come individuals as well as serving the communities. The fact that the new manager is forcing cashier to stop working and walk to the donation center to get prices of items that have lost their tag is time consuming and ridiculous. A woman next to me had to call her child school to let them know she was going to be late for the pickup line because the cashier was taking so long. Not only that if three cashiers are available 2 out of 3 have to leave their registers to get a new price on an item. Its Goodwill not a Beverly Hills Boutique If you are a special needs parent, a college student, a single parent, a low income house hold, a person struggling during the constant havoc of the Covid-19 Pandemic trying to stretch what little cash you have. Do not go to this Goodwill unless you have ample amount of item to watch employees running back and forth to get over priced items based on their label, as well as lack of communication between staff members as they argue about the order of...
Read moreThis particular spot seems to function primarily as an online sorting hub of some sort. The Prices alos dont If reflect the quality of the items. $25 for 1st gen Alexa their like 25 brand new on Amazon or 15 refurbished by amazone.?Many of the items available appear to be in a state of near-disrepair or lack the value to warrant a purchase. Given the standards of the area in which I reside, the selection offered falls into the realm of mediocrity. It's evident that there's a process of categorization and assessment happening behind the scenes. Notably, items such as crystal, Pyrex, china, and cast iron pans are conspicuously absent. Additionally, there's a lack of dedicated counters for jewelry. Even household goods and mixers are notably missing from the selection, with the focus seemingly being on presenting broken or subpar items.
I've While some individuals might not donate high-quality items, the general tendency is to provide good items to charitable...
