This is not a fake review. I see them consistently repsonding to reviews claiming they are fake so wanted to clearly state that this is a real review by a first time customer. Sucks that people would potentially post slanderous reviews, but to essentially call some people liars is odd considering they are much friendlier on the phone.
This review is based solely on the pricing offered for a couple of Pop Funkos I had sent over to possibly make trade-in or sell. The difference in offers to sales from them to Ebay/Mecari was tettering on unbelievable. With that said they are 100% Friendly, Kind, Informative, Transparent, and Collectors at heart.
I called the store and expalined I have 5-6 pops I was looking to get rid of and had no idea what the prices were. I had mentioned I looked up an estimated value for one larger pop ($220 - $400) on PopPriceGuide and I was told "We do not go by those prices and do not even bother with them". I was kindly pointed to Ebay and informed me to search for "Recently Sold" to get a better idea of the price.
A day later I spent about two hours looking at prices for the pop funko (Ebay/Mecari) and oddly, yet not surprisingly, enough the prices were still around that price value from PopPriceGuide. The larger pop was even selling continously throughout the month.
I called the store back to possibly schedule a time to go in and potentially make a sale. After sharing the information about Ebay I was then told "We will still need to verify the price", odd considering I did exactly I was informed of and most likely exactly what they would do. I was also told any offer they make will be 1/3rd less of the price online so they could turn a profit (understandable as this is a business).
After sending some requested picutres I was called and told they would only be interested in the larger pop funko and made an offer of $65 - $80 but would still have to verify and would not be interested in any other pops. Conciously I did not take that offer.
Within two days of my interaction with the store I sold the Larger Pop Funko on Mecari for $200, and the rest of the collection for $135. Their $65 - $80 offer was actually a $335 Sale to other collectors and in line with the price estimates and recently sold online.
I'd recommend going into the store, seeing their merchandise, and defintely enjoying their selection. The staff is friendly, kind, and willing to share information. You'll 100% learn something you rprobably didn't know about your product or how collectible it may be.
However, based of my interaction I would probably only buy from them in the future and shy away from offering any collectibles for sale, as it is apparent the reseller...
Read moreRespectfully don’t know why there’s 4.7 stars for this place. The place is extremely unorganized. Went there to see if they’d take some funko pops, they aren’t buying cool no problem. Start looking through their pokemon cards not good condition, also not a problem. I find 3 cards I’m interested in. I get told $10 with a “discount”. I’m confused and remove one card and check online about the other two. I see both cards sold online for under a dollar. One card online near mint for $3 and the other still under a dollar at near mint and I’m then told $8 for two out of the three cards. I left. Can’t imagine how much it would’ve been without said 20% “discount”. Not worth especially after trying to dig through all the mess. Employee working was great and tried to be helpful just doing what he’s told. Should’ve seen the reviews before coming in so before the lovely owner asks you know what day and time I came in considering the employee had to message you about this specifically. And frankly don’t know why you ask for that of people. Just walk into the store and see the monstrosity you have in there. Hire someone to organize all of that and seek help because your comments are wildly unprofessional.
Edit: 3/16/25 @8:53pm The response received proved my point. The fact that there’s are blatant lies along with unprofessionalism in the reply just goes to show myself and other reviewers were right. I never entered the store with funko pops just asked the employee if they were buying. As I said before they said no and I had no problem with that. I was not there past closing considering I posted this review while you were still open after my visit and drive home. Regardless don’t need to prove anything it is what it is. For any one looking to go to this shop take my words with a grain of salt. This was my honest experience at this shop. Hopefully anyone who reads this can see the insane reply and see right through the b.s. I believe if you go to the shop beware of the owner. Clearly others have had similar if not worse experiences. (We can’t all be liars pal) Personally wouldn’t want to give them a dime or any of my time. To the owner: It’s not about getting things for free it’s about getting it for what it’s worth. No I will not be calling you. Have the day...
Read moreGreat great selection! However I was visiting from Virginia Beach and was really looking forward to visiting the one of the best reviewed toy stores in north jersey while visiting family.
I walked in with a smile and left thinking they didn’t speak to me once. Not even a hello or if need anything please let us know. There was a guy sitting at the door blocking the way in with his stuff and stood there waiting for him to awknowledge me and I had to ask which way should I come in. He then moved the back and said this way. I ended not buying anything as I felt extremely uncomfortable and not welcomed at all. Just a piece of advice from a customer who came in looking to spend money, Atleast say hello. And this is not a fake review, as I’ve read other reviews that weren’t five stars after leaving the store and im sure this will be something that will be accused of being fake. Surely was not.
Why should I callback a Business after I’ve visited? If I eat at a restaurant and the service was bad I don’t call the restaurant after. I leave a review or fill out a survey. This is the cost of doing business when the impression is one of I don’t care of you come in or not. Every business has customers that have great experiences and that of which aren’t. And I don’t want to respond you messaging you back on Facebook as that’s not very professional either as I did not ask for anyone to reach out. I’m sorry of this is not to your liking but it was my experience and that’s that. I just will not be coming back as I live 400 miles away and spending my hard earned money at your store.
Edit: it’s not to hurt anyone. It’s to post an honest review about my impression of your business. As a customer to not feel welcomed isn’t a great thing. Just an honest review Of an honest experience and I would hope if I had a business of my own customers would’ve honest about there visits. I would recommend working on the customer service side and your store will be welcomed with warmth and 5...
