My favorite place of all time 🍱🍣 #CapCut #nj #njeats #njfoodie #njfoodreview

Where do I start...? I've been visiting Yuki Hana before and after we had kids, over many years. I'm a pretty big eater so we usually get the all-you-can-eat dinner option. The price is good. The food themselves is also pretty good, however, is a hit-or-miss. Generally very good but there are nights when I felt like I'm being cheated with the sashimi vs rice ratio on the sushi orders. There are nights when we're served with generous amount of fish on sushi, like the "normal" sushi orders, and some nights when we're served with paper-thin ones. Still pretty good value and fresh food but the lack of consistency is a big minus for me. I came to have sushi, not rice balls with specks of fish stuck on them. I also know this because I don't always get the all-you-can-eat option and been served with normal lunch and dinner, including normal sushi orders when I don't feel like eating as much. Sure, I get that they don't want the expensive food to go to waste but I order what I can eat and eat what I order. But I'd like to be served the same quality food as I'm paying for what I'm eating, and not be judged. They are the ones who's offering the option, after all, otherwise, they should just remove the option if they're going to continue with this type of guessing game with their menu.

Quality of food is poor compared to other Japanese restaurants I've been to. I would equate it to a buffet style. I take that back. Some buffets have better sushi than this place. The Tempura Udon is definitely tailored to suit an American palate. Not genuine at all and lazily made. The sushi didnt look or taste fresh. The tuna meat in the 'spicy tuna roll' had a pale pink color not the usual red that tuna should have. The sauce was placed on top of the roll instead of being mixed in with the meat so they cant use the sauce excuse for the color of the meat. Using the scrap tuna is a common practice for this roll but never seen a place where they made it THAT obvious. This establishment would be good for your average American that doesnt have a clue of what Japanese cuisine is like. Pretty disappointing experience.

I was treated absolutely unfair at this establishment. The service was horrible and I believe the owner is RACIST. The hours say they were open until 10 pm tonight. My family came here to speak because we had some issues and we wanted to speak about it in a public place. We ordered the spicy salmon roll, shumai, and Philadelphia roll. The shumai was soggy as it was smothered in sauce. The sushi tasted funky and it was as if the fish was not fresh and it was "masked" in sauce to cover for that. My stomach felt funny after eating it. The worst part is the lady who I believe was the owner kept coming by our table to check on us in a way that felt like we were being rushed rather than being checked on. It was so rude and unacceptable and this comes from someone who has worked as a server in fine dining. I did not expect fine dining but at least some decent courtesy. My mother had to leave and as she left the lady ran to us with the bill as if we were going to dine and dash. Mind you there were three of us there and only one person got up. It was so embarrassing. I didn't say anything and continued to eat and she continued to not let us have space to breathe to even enjoy our food. The hours say they close at 10 but it seemed like she was rushing as so much out of decency I asked when they closed and she said "now". As a waitress, I understand how it feels to want to go home so we packed our food as soon as we became aware that they close earlier than their hours online. We paid cash and as we left she prevented us from leaving and counted the cash. It made me sick to my stomach. I have never been so humiliated in my life. I will never eat here again. The food was subpar but what really compelled me to go write this nasty review was the horrendous behavior and disgusting customer service. I wish I could've given this lady a peace of my mind of how inappropriate the behavior was but the family talk wore me out. I would give zero...

I went to this restaurant 3 times total. I do not recommend them at all because one of the owners or employee (male) is extremely rude and disrespectful. I went there today 3/14/2021 and was planning to order their salmon teriyaki (I liked it the first time I ordered). When I arrived at the restaurant, I attempted to park in one of the spaces right in front of the restaurant, a man who works in the restaurant was in the parking lot and started gesticulating towards me indicating I could not park in that space. I backed out of that parking space and attempted to park in the space right next to it but the man kept making signs again and I couldn’t hear or understand what he was saying or why I could not park there. I then lowered my window and he started literally shouting at me, telling me that he was trying to extinguish the smoke from cigarettes left in those parking spaces. Pointing at spaces in front of other businesses, he asked why I was insisting on parking in front of their restaurant when I could park somewhere else. His explanation didn’t make any sense, the tone in his voice and all the gesticulation was extremely disrespectful. I explained I was coming to the Yuki Hana restaurant to order food. He told me the restaurant was closed, which I find very suspicious because there was a sign saying “open” and based on both Google and Yelp, they are open on Sundays! At that point I decided to leave because even if it was open, I do not ever want to spend my money at a restaurant where I will be insulted in...

The sushi at this place isn't bad. The quality is your typical AYCE quality. However, it's pricier than other AYCE places. It's $25 per person, even during lunch, and there is no sashimi.

My boyfriend and I came in on a Saturday a little bit after 11:30 since that was when it said would open when we looked it up online. They didn't open until 12. We started off with some kani salad, seaweed salad, and miso soup. I thought the salads were pretty good - the kani salad didn't have too much mayo, and the seaweed salad wasn't too sweet. Next we ordered some sushi pieces, which were good - not too much rice, although for some pieces, the rice was falling apart. Then we got a few rolls: the Mexican (spicy tuna, asparagus, and avocado roll topped with white tuna , jalapeño, and sriracha sauce), the Crunchy Spicy Tuna (spicy tuna topped with tempura flakes and spicy mayo), and the Yummy Yummy (California roll topped with spicy tuna, salmon, white tuna, and three kinds of sauces). The description for the Yummy Yummy said it comes with three different types of fish but we only tasted one: spicy tuna - unless they chopped up all three and mixed then together, but I doubt that. The best one was probably the Mexican, which I didn't think I would like since it has asparagus in it and I don't like asparagus. But the jalapeño and the dab of sriracha added an interesting touch to it.

I probably wouldn't come back just because of the price. Like I said, you can find cheaper spots, which include...
