We didnt even stay the whole time.. why? Well there is a need for alot here.. For starters they should pave that thing they kuala parking lot but besides the point of paving it they rent out the whole back section to truckers and... There are 3 signed parking spots in the back section that say don't park there and then one with no sign nothing written people constantly parking there because there's a back door to the 2nd building which is easier to carry your luggage and stuff in.. So I was staying in Room 140 and that is the closest door to bring my stuff in through and I parked in the parking spot that had no designated sign saying I couldn't besides that fact I know those 3 parking spots are occupied by a mechanic name Reno he used to be my customer when I was a commercial sales at auto zone.. So I parked there for the sake that my Room was right there me and my wife went to go get food and in one we were leaving I noticed this skinny Sickly and overly pierced individual who is smoking a cigarette kind of weasely walking in the lot. He was staring us down when left for food and creeping around the containers when we returned..
This is where things got a little out of hand I noticed the knife on his pocket side hit and he was talking about I had a move the car or he was going to have me toad I'm parked in a spot that has no sign anywhere saying I can park there hes dressed in regular everyday clothes and she previous description hes also speaking to me with a heavy mid I would say European accent almost check or something slavic looking like Chester from Lincoln Park on too many drugs talkingabout how he will havelhave my car towed getting closer to my wife and as i said... with a knife on his side.. I asked him for his credentials this show me anything that States that hes a legit security officer couldn't neither could the hotel so if you combine horrible parking lot with massive potholes truckers containers and security who doesn't seem so secure this is not only the worst motel and the South Hackensack Little Ferry area but choice motels should really do a re evaluation of it cause it's not cool when somebody reserves that they leave 2 hours after they check in because of security threatening them.. Ps.. this is the worst bedding and the smell of rancid trash in rooms place.. locals listen. I used to say that night's in was badd but this place makes it look like they held and it stunk in the Room when I 1st walked then they say their own smell nothing you sign in they give you the Room he and then they call you say it was declined when I went through your bank stuff like that it's always a problem with these people so if you have a choice don't go a...
Read moreTraveling to NY from Maine on June 30, 2018. We couldn't find any hotels near Manhattan with 2 queen beds at below $300, most were sold out, those available had only 2 double beds. So we tried looking further out and stumble upon this one. There weren’t many real bad reviews on Travelocity, cost was ok and location is close enough so I quickly booked it to make sure we had somewhere to stay for the night. We arrived at the hotel at around 7:00pm. As soon as we walked inside there was a really bad smell. We’re given a smoking room because we made a mistake at booking. We asked to change to non-smoking room because we have kids but the man at Reception kept telling us that because it was our mistake, he could not do anything about it. We had to accept it and went to our room. There is no elevator and you have to drag our luggage through a long, dark, uneven and smelly corridor to get to the stair. Up to the room and found that the key cards couldn’t open the room’s door. Had to go back to reception to have them reprogramed, went back to the room and the cards still didn’t work. Some one had to come to open the door for us. The room’s door and the corridor have no-smoking signs every where but as soon as we enter the room the cigarette smoke and smell was unbearable. The walls, floor carpet and everything in the room looked so dirty. We wouldn’t dare to sit on the beds. We went down to Reception again asking for a better room but the man kept saying there’s nothing he could do. Taking another look at the room and we decided that even it’s 9:00PM we have to find another hotel for the night because there is no way we could sleep in that room. We quickly browse online and found another hotel about 20 minutes away. We told the guy at Reception that we couldn’t stand the smell of the room and had to checkout and leave even though we already paid for it in advance, and guess what, he said again there’s nothing he could do about it. We asked for a checkout receipt and he couldn’t even give us one. We will not be near this hotel in a million years. Stay away from this hotel even if you have to sleep in your car. Lucky for us, the other hotel was so clean, so well decorated and the staff were also very nice. We felt like we just went from...
Read moreFirst of all this place should not even be part of the choice brand. This place is clearly a motel and not a hotel. While the room was clean and spacious, the customer service at this hotel leaves much to be desired. The person working the front check-in desk had the personality of a piece of wood and the small minded outlook of a cheap motel employee rather than the brand he so poorly tried to represent. When I arrived at the hotel, the room I reserved is not the room that I received. I reserved the two-person hot tub, but upon arriving I was informed that my room was unavailable because it was given to someone else. Makes no sense to reserve a room if the staff is too incompetent to place rooms on hold for the party that reserved it. When I asked the person at the desk why such was the case I was given an unintelligible response. Now let's note that I am a diamond member and I spend plenty of money staying at choice hotels. While I don't expect a red carpet to be rolled out in front at my arrival, I do expect for my business and patronage to be acknowledged, and at times rewarded. After the first inconvenience, I requested a late check out from the clerk and was quickly told that would not be possible. When I asked why not, I was once again given an untillegible response. At the point I requested a supervisor and to my dismay, the rude "clerk" informs me that HE is the manager and that I am free to call corporate if I wish. This representative is clearly in need of an attitude adjustment and some customer service training. He is a poor representation of what the choice brand is. I will never stay at this...
