Edwards Food Giant — Local services in Little Rock

Been going there for years for groceries and to cash a very small check that’s not worth the time and trouble to go to the bank with. A dividend check less than a dollar. It’s from a major corporation a lot bigger than Food Giant. Cashed at least 50 at Edwards. Today I went for eggs and decided while there to cash the .66 cent check.The clerk told me we don’t cash checks so I ask for the manager who has personally done it many times over. He came out and said we don’t cash checks and I said you yourself have done it many times. He signed it and said if I weren’t here you couldn’t cash it. I told him I won’t be back for any reason and left. This place can’t get a policy and stick with it, it changes with the way they feel that day. Poor...

So when up from Dallas visiting family, this is the store she prefers and drives a bit further to di so. I always receive the best customer service & it's always, ALWAYS fully stocked. It reminds me of the old grocery stores in rural towns growing up in the south. There are defintely no frill in the place, no real pharmacy area (but has tiny pharmacy. Not really much of a health food selection. But I assure you, you will be treated well by the team, you wont find an empty space where an item you want is not stocked & it defintely is one of the most diverse (demographically speaking) groceries stores I've been in...and I live in Dallas proper, where as a foodie I'm in many diverse, high end, specialty & even many cultural grocers. Ordered their Signature Selection Turkey Dinner, awful. The advertised sales circular said fully cooked. It was not, the turkey was not cooked I had to season it the best I could and cook it and the cornbread dressing was soupy and made with white corn meal, never did get it a golden brown. So thankful that I decided to check it the night before, I hope there is some semblance of sage in the taste because I did not smell anything of the kind when I was cooking it.
