I have been going to this location for years, but as of the last few times it has been something off. Last night and now this afternoon was it for me and now here is the review: last night I was served hush puppies fried as hard as a rock and fries that was old and old chicken that was edible but the smallest wings I have ever seen. I called when I made it home and because they were closing was told to bring it back today. I ate the chicken last night because I was hungry which is why I ordered food to begin with. I called today before I came to explain and Joseline was very rude and inconsiderate. After her explaining she did not work last night and there was no manager available and she was doing her job, I ended up buying another meal because I wanted my chicken replaced (which was crazy) and they remade the fries and hush puppies separately from the meal because I refused to pay another 1.99 up charge with my meal today. Oh after I got a little annoyed with the principle of me having to repurchase food that they clearly messed up the night before, the manager that Joseline said was not available had her give me a courtesy lemonade for my troubles and time wasted. It was a little too late to make this bad situation any better, but I took the lemonade and waited another 10 minutes for my 6 hush puppies and handful of fries that I called ahead for and still were not ready when I got there! This situation could have been a simple exchange, I return my food and they remake it and throw a few wings in there for my troubles not a lemonade. Read moreI put a lot of thought into rating a business and do so in a constructive and responsible manner rarely giving 2 and 3 star ratings but deserved in this case. This review is NOT directed towards the cashier she was working very hard to make things work with the little resources that were provided to her by MANAGEMENT, i.e.: she was the only person working the entire front area excluding the dining area. Taking phone orders, over the counter order, operating the cash register, sacking and believe me the restaurant was very busy and can support more help. Needless to say ONE person can't do it all without making mistakes so consequently the condiments and coleslaw were left out of our bag. She apologized when I brought it to her attention, of course I was extremely nice to her, knowing that she was doing the best anyone could do in the DISMAL POSITION MANAGEMENT had put her in. By the way you're out of cocktail sauce, both restrooms are out of order and the place needs remodeling and made to follow strict maintenance and cleaning procedures, it's nasty. Read moreClean, well lit dining area. We chose the catfish fillet and chicken gizzard dinners. Food was prepared fresh when we ordered. Very generous quantities of fries and okra for the both of us, along with the fillets in mine and the gizzards in the wife's. Two large pieces of catfish and many gizzards completed the servings. Each was packed well for transport back to the house. We enjoyed them very much. The restaurant offers a fairly wide variety of fried foods, (4 kinds of fish, & oysters and frog legs) sides (okra, corn, green beans, red beans and rice, cole slaw, mac 'n' cheese with the afore mentioned fries) six different salads and three desserts. They have lunch specials & large party trays as well as Family packs.
3/30/18 Unfortunately, today's visit wasn't good. Called in an order, phone was answered with"Hello" instead of restaurant name. After placing the order, we arrived at the location on Stagecoach to find only one member of the staff out front with a line of 5 people, no cook in sight.
