When entering we asked the hostess if the food was good and she said "I hope so". We sat down and were served chips and salsa. First chip I picked up and put in my mouth was stale. So I tried another chip with the salsa and all I could taste was cilantro. I can handle cilantro but not like that. We ordered guacamole and the waitress let us know it was made fresh to order. So I asked if we could do light cilantro in the guacamole because I presumed it would be in there as much as there was in the salsa. She said ok, came back with our order of guacamole. What do you know cilantro with light guacamole. At this point I'm a little irritated because I LOVE guacamole. I ordered Burrito Polos and the description stated - A flour tortilla filled with fried flour? Filled with chicken or beef with cheese sauce, Sauced with rice and beans. I thought ok maybe a misprint, normally any Mexican restaurant I go to there is a standard burrito served with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream plus the rice and beans. Can't go wrong! My husband ordered the fajita taco salad. The waitress came and delivered the table acrossed from us with their food. I could hear the lady say "This is not what I ordered". The waitress picked the plate up and looked at it side ways and came to our table and asked me again what I ordered. She said "This isn't yours". (I would hope not) She walked away and literally two minutes later came back and said "Oh this is yours". At this point, I'm just appalled and getting pissed. I'm pregnant and hungry. Its literally two skinny burritos (half an inch high) with the rice and beans. Now let me tell you im paying $9.00 for what looks like school lunch food and apparantly been in the hands of everybody in the restaurant. Then she brings my husband's plate. He ordered a salad and got soup! Literally half of the tortilla shell was some type of juices?.? We don't know!!! We flagged the manager and told him we weren't happy with the quality of the food. He was very nice, don't get me wrong. WE LEFT. Needless to say neither of us were hungry when leaving. I've been to some pretty shady looking Mexican restaurant's and their food was excellent!! Cantina is drunk people food, when there is no longer any mexican food anywhere food. I will say this, there is a new small restaurant that opened up the road named Riviera Maya next to the Super 8 and food is awesome plus great owners,...

Today I called in an order for jalapeños and cheese dip... an appetizer and a side item. I was told it would take 5 mins for my order to be ready. I showed up 10 mins later to get my food and when I arrived the cashier couldn’t seem to find my order as if it hadn’t even been put into the system. The cashier told me the total and I gave her my card. The strange thing was that when she gave me the receipt to sign, the total was $1 and a few cents more than the total she originally gave me. I let that slide and I patiently waited for my food to be brought out. I waited for over 15 mins for an order that I had called in ahead of time. Customers who came to eat in the restaurant after I had already paid received their appetizers before I received my food. After inquiring about my food to two other employees, my food finally came out and then the employee that brought it out tried to make me pay for it again. Of course, I explained that I had already paid and I left. To say the least, I was very dissatisfied with the service that I received at this location. I am going to hope that the poor customer service that I received had nothing to do with the fact that I was the only African-American customer in the establishment at the time. No matter, I won’t be returning and I will discourage my friends, family, and colleagues to spend their hard- earned money at such a disorganized and inconsiderate...

Me, my sister and my daughter went to this restaurant today and had the worst experience ever. It took us 8 minutes to get seated and then when we finally got sat it took the server an additional 8 minutes to take our drink order. Once we got our drinks we were ready to order. We knew what we wanted (very easy and straight to the point). We literally sat there for 40 minutes waiting on our food that we never got!!! I ordered a very large margarita and I told my sister if I finish this drink before our food gets here we're leaving. I literally did and I was so irritated that I left without paying for my drink. They weren't even busy they treated us like this cause of our skin. What she didn't know was I used to be a server(10 years of experience) I was going to leave her a nice tip but the only thing she got was $2. If your black, don't eat there. Go...

Molcajete Majesty: Surf Meets Turf in a Stone Bowl Served still sizzling in its volcanic stone vessel, the shrimp and chicken molcajete arrives like a theatrical centerpiece—plumes of fragrant steam rising with each bite. The shrimp are plump and sweet, absorbing the smoky depth of the bubbling sauce, while the chicken is tender, its charred edges providing a satisfying contrast. Grilled cactus, caramelized onions, and fresh avocado add layers of texture and flavor, each element playing its part without overpowering the others. The molten cheese binding it all together is indulgent without being cloying, and the accompanying warm tortillas invite you to craft each bite to your liking. This is comfort food elevated—hearty, vibrant, and unapologetically full of life. It’s a dish that doesn’t just feed you; it gathers you into its warmth, one tortilla at a time.

I and my friend went on a Friday night for dinner. The restaurant had two or three big groups. That is unless it was one group. Over the years, I learned some Spanish. I ordered what I could in Spanish. Since I am not on the Spanish portion of Google Maps, I use English. I ordered a DrPepper and steak fajitas. I said no lettuce, guacamole, picó, and crema. I wanted a side order of shredded cheese. My soft drink came before I ordered. Most of the food came. That excluded the side of cheese. Since the person that brought the food did not speak good English, I had to wait. The rice and beans were good. Once he brought my friend a refill and took my plate, I was able to mention the lack of cheese. That happens at many Mexican restaurants. I ate most of my food for dinner. The rest was breakfast.

This restaurant is kind of a hidden gem. You get a friendly greeting and smile. Service is highly efficient. The food comes fast and tastes good, but there's nothing to separate it from other Mexican restaurants. Great atmosphere. Indoors with nice colorful decorations AND an outdoor patio. I observed families having dinner together outside, like at home. Inside, couples in booths enjoying an intimate dinner with adult beverages. Overall experience was quite enjoyable.
