Over the last 20 years or so I have purchased thousands of dollars of clothing from Jos A. Banks and Men’s Wearhouses stores from around the US. Today after driving 170 miles one way to pick of a pair of pants that I purchased two weeks ago, I find that the seamstress cut off about 15 inches too much of the legs when she hemmed the pants. I now own a pair of Dress Shorts. I am 6 feet 6 inches tall. These pants are a joke! I paid $179.23 for these dress slacks and the real tragedy here is how I was treated when I asked for a refund. I had a few words with whom I think was the manager. She yelled “I never want to see you in my store again”. She insulted me and then threw the pants (shorts is more like it) on the floor along with the paperwork and walked off and yelled “call customer service”. I know the owner Jos A. Banks reads these reviews and always asks the customer to contact corporate to see how they can remedy the situation. The only way you can correct this situation with me is to get rid of her. She asked us in a rude tone “Are we almost wrapped up here because I’m going to have to fold all of this stuff.” I understand it can be frustrating to have a lot to fold but there are much better ways this could have been worded. Her choice of words and attitude came off as rude and unhelpful. I could tell by another employees facial expression she was shocked to hear the manager say this. We thought the other employee was the manager by how well she handled the situation. The other employee was professional and stepped in to help. She was very polite and put away the shirts that did not work for him. After we finished checking out my boyfriend went to try to clear the air regarding the situation in a respectful manner. At the end of him speaking with her he told her he was trying to discuss the issue with her because it upset us both and I was ready to leave a negative review. Read morePlease read other reviews and trust me DO NOT use this location. I am not the only one who has had this same problem. I was fitted for 3 new suits paid $1,000 and was told it would take 3 to 5 business days to get them in and they would give me a call to come buy for a final tayloring. A week and a half went by so I gave them a call to check on it the status and was told they were sorry but the young man who helped me didn't know what he was doing and never ordered me the suits. On top of this I was told that the size "48 long" I wear was not available in the the make and color I ordered. I the asked if I would not haved called what would have happened? She says I don't know. So I asked for a refund and was told I would need to come by they could not do it over the phone. I then asked to speak to a manager and was told he would call me back in a lil bit. Still haven't heard anything. Unbelievable! Apparently this location hires complete idiots!
