VERY rude employees. When I got to the bike rack I realized I forgot the lock for my bicycle, so rather than ride all the way back downtown to get it and then come back, I thought I'd ask an employee if I could bring in my bike just to the cash register, and if an employee could grab a bike lock for me I'd meet them at the counter to pay for it, then I'd take my bike outside to lock it before doing my grocery shopping. I stood at the door for a long time trying to catch an employee's attention. There were tons of them near the door but none would come. A kind stranger tried to get someone for me, but he came back and said that none of them would go to the door. He tried for about 15 minutes & finally convinced one to come to the door. She brought a lock to the door but refused to let me go to the register to pay for it. She actually told me to leave my bike outside. This is Little Rock, one of the highest-crime cities in the country. NO WAY am I leaving my bike outside unlocked! Rather than let me take my bicycle just inside the door to buy the lock, then lock it outside before buying all the groceries I was going to get, the employee foolishly refused (after I FINALLY got their attention after being ignored by a dozen employees), so now another store will be getting my business instead. For just a minute of having my bike inside they could've kept my continued grocery shopping business, but now I won't be going back there ever. Any other store would've seen the logic in keeping my business and would have agreed with no thought otherwise: my regular grocery trips + an extra bike lock sale. Rude and stupid employees at...
Read moreThey never have speedy checkout. They are SEVERELY understaffed, and those that DO "work" there are usually more concerned about their personal problems with actually having to pretend to hold a job than to actually care about the well-being of the customers. Their shelves are rarely even REMOTELY stocked. Their hired security guards stalk any people in the store that stand and talk in one area and/or stay in the same aisle for more than a few minutes. One of their so-called managers publicly called me out in front of other customers after I, God forbid, had the audacity to complain to him that the store aisles are never manned properly and those being forced into the self checkout should not be blamed for not operating the machines properly if they are FORCED to go into them because there are NO ACTUAL CASHIERS ON A FRIDAY EVENING. I have shopped here over twenty times, and every time brings a new disappointment. With the exception of the nasty redneck manager that heckled me for questioning his managerial qualities (none of such does he actually possess), I respect the employees here, but SOMETHING MUST BE DONE IF YOU ALL WANT FOR PEOPLE TO KEEP RETURNING TO YOUR STORE. LITTLE ROCK IS A GROWTH AREA, AND PEOPLE HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO THAN BE HARRASSED BY YOUR SECURITY GUARDS AND HECKLED BY YOUR MANAGER WHEN JUST TRYING TO BUY A PACK OF BASEBALL CARDS AND HURRY OUT. The Chenal / Markham Target is the better bet, hands down. Don't waste...
Read moreSo I wanted to tell a little story I just had here. I was shopping and I got my stuff alright. Being the individual I am. I went to the self checkout. I scanned my items and after I put in my cash I was supposed to get around maybe 48 cents in change. After I got the chance I grabbed my bag. Immediately “the help is on the way sign” pops up on my self checkout. Naturally I became confused. And not joking, in literally less than a second this target girl pops up to help me out. She enters in the code and her pin and everything. I was just standing there thinking to myself “should I just leave I did already pay.” And it turns out that that the target machine owed me 1 cent. One single penny. And immediately, this target girl rushes to get me that one cent. I was baffled, because I honestly didn’t really care about that one cent. It’s just going to go in my cup holder at the end of the day. And this girl went out of her way just to give me one penny. If that’s not good customer service then I don’t know what is. Something about that whole experience really made me feel happy. I’m not even sure who that target girl was or if I’ll ever see her again. This experience restored a little bit of faith in humanity in my eyes. And for now on. Imma make that penny my lucky penny....
