I have been here 4 times with my co-workers. We all enjoy their Big Orange Cheese Dip with crispy corn tortilla chips. Bit this time around we tried their house chips. We prefer the tortilla chips than the house chips to accompany the cheese dip. Not because the house chips do not taste good. Actually the house chips are delicious and should eaten by itself. The cheese dip needs to be eaten with the plain tortilla chips so one will enjoy the full cheese dip experience. I ordered the Thai Chop Salad with grilled chicken and it was really good. It had mixed lettuce, shaved cabbage, red peppers, tomato, fresh jalapeño, peanuts, cilantro, basil, and ginger-soy vinaigrette. It was refreshing. One co-worker got the Currant Pecan Chicken Salad made with celery, pecans, currants, and herb mayonnaise, served on a bed of arugula and mixed lettuce with strawberries, blueberries, pecans, and balsamic vinaigrette. Another got a Blt Wedge made with iceberg lettuce wedges, petit jean bacon, blue cheese, tomato, red onion, avocado, blue cheese dressing, and balsamic glaze.

In the past, I did try their Umami bomb burger. Made with Half & Half Patty (a house-made, all natural, lighter patty that is 50% Ground Black Angus Beef & 50% Veggies), Havarti Cheese, White American Cheese, Sautéed Mushrooms, Caramelized Onion, Thyme, Arugula, Butter Leaf Lettuce, and Garlic Mayo and it was pretty good. Their Truffle-Garlic-Herb Fries made white truffle oil, fresh herbs, and garlic mayo are addictive like their cheese dip so you have been warned. Come and check them out. When we come here for lunch during the week, expect a little wait before you can get seated. Their pretty busy and full at that time. The servers are nice and...

My daughter and I stopped in for a late lunch and sat for ten minutes without anyone serving us after we were seated. We walked in at 2:58 PM and were seated right away. We left at 3:10 because no one had taken our drink order or even spoke to us once we were seated. The restaurant was not busy. Frustration set in when I noticed all the employees were just standing around looking at their cell phones. There were three standing at the hostess station looking at their cell phones while listening to a story about how one of them had cut her thumb while slicing a lime. There were two more employees who appeared to be servers standing in the prep area outside the kitchen locked in to their cell phones. Once I realized the staff was more interested in their cell phones than the customers, I knew it was time to go. It all worked out because we ended up at Wingstop and had a wonderful experience. I will be posting a very positive review for that Wingstop and its employees when this once is concluded. The crazy part of this is that Big Orange has advertisements about being "Arkansas owned and operated" and that people should eat local and avoid food chains. Well, I definitely had a much better experience at a food chain like Wingstop who had quality employees compared to a locally owned eatery woth employees more intersted in their phones than customer service....

Dear Manager,

My family and I had the pleasure of dining at Big Orange Midtown on Saturday, September 9th around1:30pm. I would like to acknowledge the fantastic welcome and accommodations I received from your front staff and the exceptional service I received from Vance.

When I walked in, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel comfortable right away. they went out of their way to accommodate our party of 12 ( 5 children ages 3-9) quickly and made it possible for all of us to sit together.

During our meal, our server, Vance kept an eye on everything, making sure our glasses was always full and that we had a great dining experience. He was so professional, enthusiastic, patient with our children, and dedicated to making sure we had a great time.

Vance's passion for his job and his dedication to making customers happy are really impressive. It's people like him who make The Big Orange Midtown stand out as a fantastic place to eat.

Please pass on my big thanks to Vance for his outstanding service, and the rest of the staff for an amazing job. They truly makes your restaurant shine.

I can't wait to come back to The Big Orange Midtown knowing I'll have another great meal and amazing service.

Thanks again for the wonderful dining experience, and please tell Vance and the team I appreciate...

I was in the area. And was famished. Thought I give Big Orange a try. I had their Mahi Mahi sandwich and regular fries. And their Orange Salad with grilled chicken to go. First off, I could not eat the sandwich properly. When I picked it up. The bun was falling apart from the bottom. So I cut it in half. That just made it worst. Ended up using a fork. The Mahi Mahi and the grilled chicken for the salad appears to be seasoned with some herb. Both food were bland. I love Mahi Mahi. You can grill it with just salt and pepper. It’ll taste delicious. But whatever seasonings they had on it. Did not do it justice. The fries tasted reheated and bland. You can see that in the picture even. There was nothing much on the salad under the slices of chicken but a couple pieces of thinly cut oranges, Lettuce, Strawberries, pecans, blueberries and small dollops of goat cheese. For me, the citrus vinaigrette and blueberries does not compliment each other. Too much acid. It leaves a hollow tart taste. Not in a good way. Their food is simply not for me. Service was okay. You can tell when a person does not have their heart in what they do. Most of the times, we do. What we got to do. It’s all about perspective. Try and change it. And you’ll find yourself enjoying and loving the daily grind.

First off i love the local sustainable business model, even if it's not in my neck of the woods. We stopped here on our way through Little Rock, and really enjoyed it. Unplanned we arrived right at happy hour, where drinks are $2 off. They have a decent selection of your standards and local breweries, as well as cocktails. No food specials though. We still ordered the pickle spears and they were very good with a hint of spicy in the batter, and some mild jalapenos to add more kick if you'd like. We both preferred the truffle burger (background burger lol) over the blue cheese one (pictured), but they were both flavorful and very fulfilling. My only complaint would be a bit more blue cheese, but the jams in both were just the right amount of sweet to balance the burgers. For dessert, and for the road we ordered some shakes to go. The local cold brew coffee shake was pretty good, but it lacked a strong coffee flavor, giving way to the cinnamon, which ended up dominating the shake. It was still good, but for a coffee lover I was a bit disappointed. Overall great experience, and the atmosphere is nice as well, a blend of causal diner with sports bar. Very family friendly, but wouldn't be bad for a casual date either. If I was a local I'd be one of my go-to spots.
