Unfortunately, I had a similar experience as the other customers. The assistant manager in her 60's is VERY rude, unwelcoming, and not pleasant at all. She scoffed when I asked for a sample, and again if I could pick which one. She was short and unpleasant when I asked for recommendations and continued to ask "What?!" in an irritated tone when I asked questions. Sure she gave me recommendations but kept referring me back to the same item every time. I asked for a white chocolate and she said the only option pre packaged was the mixed box. There were MANY other pre packaged options when I looked further. It did not feel like a warm atmosphere when I walked in, at all. She opened the door and said, "I'm trying to email my boss but you can go in." This is my first time at Sees and I'll never go back. There is another chocolate shop nearby with better quality chocolate and much much better customer service. I didn't catch the assistant manager's name but she may need further customer service training. This isn't aligned to what I've read See's is proud of or any other company's customer service should be. Too bad zero stars isn't an option for atmosphere or...
Read moreBest chocolate ever, but the older woman who helped me was very protective of the candy I was purchasing. I reached out to begin bagging my purchase while my credit card was processing. She reached out to stop me and harshly said "Not until the transaction is complete!". It felt very weird, like I was going to run out of there without paying.
I have also seen the long time male employee treat customers horribly. One poor person had a bad gift card and he was so harsh with the customer it made me want to buy their candy. He made them sound like a felon.
Buying candy should be a happy event!
Beth and Larry have “retired” and now the atmosphere in Sees...
Read moreWe are visiting from out of town. We stopped here with our 4yr old son the other night. He was SO excited to bring his Dad here after we picked him up from being gone all day. The employee working offered us a sample which my son was thrilled about. We told the employee it was ok for him to have one. She handed us one for him and said, "well don't let him touch anything with chocolate all over his fingers." I was a little shocked with how rude she was. We were immediately turned off. I understand 4yr olds can be messy, but we were right next to him and giving consent he could have one. What a way to ruin...
