⭐☆☆☆☆ Sold me cigarettes, then falsely claimed I couldn’t have my child with me. I came in as a legal adult with my 3-year-old daughter. The staff member sold me cigarettes without issue—then suddenly told me I couldn’t have my child inside and claimed I “could get in trouble” if police walked in. That is completely false. Under California law (BPC §22962), minors are allowed inside tobacco shops if accompanied by a parent or guardian. I was not trying to purchase anything for a minor, just shopping responsibly.
