I rarely leave negative reviews, mostly positive as I believe credit is due when deserved. Today was different. I treated myself to breakfast which is rare. Craving coffee and eggs. Seated at a one of the bar tables, the bartender (owner's son) mentioned he'd be right with me. It's Sunday morning, it's busy, I get it. I said no worries! Just happy to be acknowledged. It all went south from there. Young waitress approached my table and asked if she could get me anything, yes please, coffee and water. She asked if I was ready to order, yes please, eggs and an English muffin. She returned with my coffee and water. That was the last I'd see of her until my meal was completed. My empty coffee cup sat on the edge of my table during my entire meal hoping to be refreshed. It never happened. She had passed my table several times without approaching to see if I needed anything. No eye contact, yet lots of chitchat time with coworkers in the corner of the bar talking about other employee's personal problems for all within earshot to hear. I had to flag her down for a refill. She was so unobservant that she didn't notice my creamer dish was empty and walked off after bringing me my 2nd cup after my meal was finished... did I mention this? I had to stop her and ask for creamer. (The little plastic cups) This was the last I saw of her this morning. (Bartender handed me my bill) She never came back to check on my coffee, did not to ask if i needed anything. The one time I craved eggs and coffee. I think a 20% tip was overly generous, however the food was good, the food runner was very kind, I'm hopeful they split tips. My server would not be deserving. Disappointed, I'll prepare my own breakfast going forward. 😔 me thinks a different career may be a...
Read moreCame in with my kid like I haven't seen in a minute. Asked the waiter what I should order and he said steak sandwich. I ordered medium rare with fries well done steak came out rare and the fries soggy. So I asked if they could cook both more I don't want to eat a rare steak that's still mooing. Then the fries came out perfect and the steak was well done. When Sam The bartender asked how it was I told him I hate to be this person but now the steak is overcooked and I don't want it. Before I can finish he ripped my plate away from me and was so rude and slammed down the bill. I would have paid for the fries and I actually wanted to order another meal instead but because he was pissed that I was upset about the steak he just gave me the bill and didn't even ask if I wanted something else. I've been a bartender for 20 years and this was the worst customer service I've ever received I still gave a $3 tip which in my opinion is an insult because I normally tip 30 bucks. I wanted to order something else instead but he was so angry that the kitchen didn't know how to make a steak that he took it out on the customer. Glad I don't live in Livermore anymore and hopefully the next time I go back Sam won't be there and I'll go with the BLT instead cuz he can't mess...
Read moreI'm in town for a family event and we went here for lunch/breakfast. It was so good! It was very busy and we waited about 30mns for a table bit it was well worth it! The bloody Mary was delish and a little Spicer than I expected. The breakfast shot with Jamison, butterscotch schnapps, and orange juice with bacon chaser was surprisingly tasty. For our appetizer we had the breaded, deep fried avocado slices. They were crispy on the outside and soft and rich in avocado flavor on the inside. The chipotle aoli that accompanied the avo spears was excellent and had a lovely smokey mild spice it. For my entre I ordered the namesake dish of the restaurant, Riatas signature Mexican Eggs Benedict. I sometimes don't enjoy chorizo due to the excessive grease that can come with it, this preparation was lovely though. The eggs were cooked perfect and the hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft in the center, perfect! I will be back(maybe even once more on this trip) and would recommend it...
