The atmosphere was nice and I loved our waitres and the manager did the best he could to make our visit right, which I will describe in the rest of this review. These reasons are why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1.
Despite having a good waitress the service as a whole was horrible. When we first sat down I asked the bus boy, who was bringing us chips, if he could wipe down the table for us since there was what looked like some melted cheese on the table. He looked at us and said something, but couldn't make out what he said. He continued with what he was doing and than we saw him wiping down another table and he never came back to ours to clean it. We never got a server and after about 15 minutes a waitress who was not assigned to our table asked if we had been helped yet. She was wonderful and observant. She could see we had been there awhile and hadn't received any drinks yet. She ended up becoming our server and also got our table cleaned for us. She got us the manager since she can see we now upset with our experience up to this point. The manager apologized for the issues we were having and comped us the drinks for our troubles.
When the food was delivered they gave me the wrong side. Instead of bringing me just the side I was missing on a separate plate the guy who brought our food took my plate and now had to wait while my whole family was now eating. When I received my food it was dry and bland. I actually could not finish it because it tasted that bad.
Overall with our experience, I'm not sure we will be going back there...
Read moreHorrible service!
Our family of four went to dinner last night and were seated on the patio with six other tables of diners - not a full restaurant due to the festival downtown.
2 out of our 4 orders were wrong. The server never returned to check on the food or offer drinks or refills on current drinks. Mine was supposed to be chicken and I was given beef - I haven't eaten red meat in over 35 years! Ugh - that first bite tasted SO gross!
We had all been finished eating for some time and finally flagged the server down and requested the check (and that the uneaten beef, supposed to be chicken meal be removed from the bill).
The server brought the bill but not the credit card slip portion, so we couldn't add tip and total. Since he never returned, we were forced to leave cash and only a 15% tip - which was very generous considering we had no service after our order was taken and I am awake and sick 12 hours later from eating/ingesting a bite of the beef. (Unless it is food poisoning?)
I am taking a cue from the server and do not plan to return to the table/ Casa Orozco ever agin either! (I wonder if he ever came back to get the bill/cash?)
I strongly do not recommend this restaurant - very poor almost non existent service and the food...
Read moreToday I walk in as a new costumer with my party of 6 and a baby. Weather is nice place looks nice and pleasant from the outside and so did the inside. They greeted us nicely. We sat down got a high chair for the baby. had 4 waiters asking if we got our drinks yet. So we go order drinks. Not going to lie it took them half an hour to get waters and cutlery. In matter of fact the food came first before the cutlery ever did. It wasn't busy. I just feel like they give priority to other groups that have bigger parties. I noticed that no one came to refill our waters, straws, or give us extra napkins as all of the waiters and hosts just turned their heads away as they passed our table. We had to stand up a couple of times to get our waiters attention. On the other hand food was great, came out hot and fast, so props to the people in the kitchen! That's the only reason I give it 4 stars, if not it would of been a 3. Other than that waiters and staff need to stop prioritizing certain types of groups of people that show up. And focus a little more on equal service for...
