We had a great time. If you have kids that are interested in toy trains, this is the place to go. They have a lot of small wooden trains, like Thomas train, and also have a lot of larger models older kids or adults.

I build your own wooden train set or electrical train set. They also have model cars, and a lot of Melissa & Doug stuff. They have other random arts and crafts and puppets.

they have three large wooden train tables, and a large electrical train with lots of buttons and levers that kids can press to make the train go and control the diorama. They are set up for parties.

My grandson just had his 3rd Birthday party @ Meyer's hobby shop this weekend! A Wonderful time was had by ALL!! The staff managed to wrangle, with ease, 15 or so 3 year olds, by keeping them very busy! First they each crafted/decorated their own wooden train, then they got to become Engineers & drive the Lionel trains in small groups! What Fun!! Time for pizza, which was brought in, along with a fabulous Thomas the train BIRTHDAY cake! Next, All the kids watched a Thomas the Train movie! Meyer's Staff was really wonderful, friendly and so very helpful w/ALL the kids! It's truly a hidden gem of a store! There is so much to See, Play with & of course FUN Toys to Buy...so, Run, don't walk to Meyer's for a Guarenteed Good...

We just had our 3 year old's birthday party here, and we can't stop talking about how perfect everything was! Dan handled everything and made sure each part of the party ran smoothly and seamlessly.
