Plymouth Food Store — Local services in Livonia

I want to start off by saying this—I continue to shop here because this place is super close to my house, and I prefer to support smaller local businesses versus all of these big box retailers that keep taking our neighborhood retailers out one by one. Also, this is a liquor store, so don't be confused by the name. Don't get me wrong, there are some food items here, but in no way, shape, or form is this an actual "food store".

With that being said, the fact that this is smaller establishment, means that there is of course a smaller selection of items compared to that of a larger liquor store—specifically in the beer department. There just isn't a lot overall beyond the basics you would find at any place that sells beer. So I guess if you're leaning towards wanting a specific craft beer or something in that nature you may want to hold off and purchase your prize elsewhere. On that same token, if you do choose to purchase beer here that is beyond the basics, do yourself a favor and check the expiration date—unless of course you don't care much about the taste of what you're drinking.

When all is said and done, this a fine place to grab any booze essentials you may be out of and looking for. It's clean and the guys who run the place are always beyond...

I live down the street, and go there often for small needs. They have plenty of snacks, costco brand milk (I have two kids, and sometimes we run out before I realize! So that's super convenient), lots of liquor/beer options... etc. The owner is super nice, too! Happy this little store is on...
