Stepping into 300 Slices Pizza is an experience that transcends the typical pizzeria outing. Itâs a vibrant, flavorful journey that masterfully fuses the familiar comfort of pizza with the bold, exciting flavors of Dominican street food. This unique combination isnât just a gimmick; it's a culinary revelation that results in some of the most delicious and inventive slices you'll ever have. Forget your standard pepperoni and cheese. Here, you'll find pizzas topped with ingredients that celebrate Dominican cuisine. The "chimi" pizza, for instance, is a standout, bringing the savory, tangy flavors of a traditional Dominican chimichurri burger to a crispy pizza crust. Each pizza is a testament to the kitchen's creativity and skill, a harmonious blend of two culinary worlds that simply works. The crust is thin and perfectly chewy, providing a sturdy foundation for the generous and flavorful toppings. Beyond the food, the service at 300 Slices is warm and welcoming. The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about the unique offerings, always ready to explain the different pizzas and recommend their favorites. This level of hospitality makes you feel less like a customer and more like a guest in their home. Lina is a delight. I would go back there just for her. The atmosphere is just as inviting. The restaurant has a lively, energetic vibe, with colorful decor and a playlist of upbeat Latin music that makes for a fun and memorable dining experience. Whether youâre grabbing a quick slice or settling in for a full meal with friends, the ambiance adds to the overall enjoyment. In a city full of pizza places, 300 Slices Pizza stands out not just for its novelty, but for its genuine excellence. Itâs a place where tradition meets innovation, where the deliciousness of Dominican street food elevates the simple pleasure of a slice of pizza to a whole new level. For anyone looking for a unique, delicious, and unforgettable meal, 300 Slices is an...
Read moreWe knew this as Essex Street Pizza which was always decent for a quick pick up for a pie or slices for a quick bite. We decided to stop in to grab some slices to heat up at home. We decided to give this new 300 Slices a try and wanted to like this place, but our experience was honestly disappointing. From the moment we walked in to place a take-out order of just some slices to heat up at home, the music was blaring so loudly that it was hard to even hear the staff or even think straight. The whole vibe felt more like a hangout than a pizzeria. Definitely not the kind of atmosphere where you want to grab a casual bite or even wait comfortably for food for pick-up or take-out.
The customer service left a lot to be desired. The person who handled our to-go order barely acknowledged us, and when we paid in cash, they didnât offer any change backâjust dropped it in the tip bucket at the register, apparently assuming it was a tip. I wouldâve been fine tipping or if I had been given the option, but it was just taken without a word. That felt really off to me with a feeling of entitlement. When questioned on it, they just grabbed some money out and handed it to us and we tipped a couple of dollars back making it uncomfortable.
Funny enough (or not), one of my best friends who lives nearby and also did not notice the change over from Essex Street Pizza to 300 Slices, had a nearly identical experience here recentlyâsame loud music, same indifferent attitude from the staff. Seems like it's not just a one-off issue.
The pizza was decent when we got it home and heated it up.
There are plenty of other pizzerias in town that actually care about their customers. Sadly, I do not believe we or our friends will be...
