Logan Towne Center — Local services in Logan Township

Security is definitely needed in parking lot! I know teens enjoy going to the mall to "hang with friends" BUT they should not hinder elders. While walking to my car, 4 teens were yelling a cursing at an elderly woman calling her names. I walked over and asked if there was a problem, was told by the 1 teen to F off along with other colorful phrases.....I advised them to move along before I called cops, they laughed and said "F the police, they aint s h i t and I walked the woman to her car and made sure she was safe. She was very upset and afraid. After spending about 5 minutes talking with her and ensuring she was ok, I walked back in and could not find one security officer. I did inform a guest service worker (a teen). She says to me that it happens alot. IF this occurs as often as she portrayed, I would suggest the management hire a rover for the lot and issue tresspasses to the younger generation that act like little wanna be thugs. Someone needs to show the punks of that generation that there ARE consequences to bad behavior. Before someone blasts me let me make this clear....I AM NOT SAYING every teen acts this way but those who do need to learn Accountability! I also encourage those witnessing such behavior to follow the Golden Rule...help that elder get safely to where they are going and...

Great selection of glasses, of which I have no complaints. But they tell you after you are in the pre-exam about their "extra" tests that are more comprehensive for an extra $20. At my other optometrist those tests were INCLUDED. Since my family has a history of glaucoma and macular degeneration, I always want to ensure I have those tests done. But I have NEVER had to pay extra for them. That is ridiculous. And my other optometrist was very thorough when it came to my contact exam, and this one seemed a little "out of sorts" when it came to my contacts. So I am getting a trial pair first, which take up to 2 weeks to recieve. And then IF they work, I can order a box which will take up to another 2 weeks. So a month from now I should have my contacts in order. I think I will be going back to my previous optometrist and just pay out of pocket and just get my glasses here on...

The selection of stores is really nice BUT the one thing that I noticed is that this place was NOT designed with the elderly or less than perfectly mobile moving customers! While the idea of stand-alone stores is all good and there are quite a few to chose from this isn't an inviting location for those who have issues getting around. Plus, even I didn't appreciate the fact that when done in one store, had to go out and get in the car and move it just to be close to the next store and this was in decent weather. Imagine being someone who requires a wheelchair or walker or cane or just moves less than normal speed. And I would hate to go shopping there in bad weather, in fact I wouldn't. I'm not i to getting soaked or freezing or slipping in...
