When checking the Google reviews, my jaw dropped with the first of only two reviews. Thank goodness I wasn't using the reviews as my sole reference for patronizing the Altoona,PA. ULTA location. The reviewer used the word ," hate" , & "always", . These are absolute words. Not masny behaviors are,'always' , &' hate 'is usually reserved to describe something or someone despicable. The reviewer turns the review into a personal attack by singling out individual workers. The reviewer's words seem excessive, in my estimation, reviewing a business selling luxury items like cosmetics. If this person suffered such shockingly rude treatment by a staff member, a manager needed to be notified immediately. A GOOGLE review is a passive aggressive tool for an individual who, despite chronic ,"rude" behavior, continues to identify herself as a ,"loyal customer". My question for the reviewer, "Why do you continue patronizing a business you,"hate" ? Spend your money with another vendor or shop online , eliminating your contact with retail workers completely. Almost without exception, BARE MINERALS products are less expensive on line. While I find the store understaffed, & have, frequently had difficulty immediately locating a representative, I never looked longer than 5 minutes. Read moreI used to love Ulta but 2 things have happened. I'm a diamond member, you got a free gift when you became diamond, it was a good size box with tiny trials in it only 3 tiny trial products. Not employees fault, keep shopping there my Birthday month got email about a free birthday gift had to pick up in store a full size mascara! I lost the email, I asked if they could use my member card and license to give me my birthday gift and they said no, they were very rude to me during the rest of the transaction, I was embarrassed by the two people behind the counter, one was way worse than the other, I think she thought she was a supervisor but obviously just a bully!! All customers should be treated better! They also had no idea they sold brush bath (even an ulta brand) and when I explained how to use it the girl said I wish there were such a thing and dismissed me as though I knew nothing!! She did not help or get another associate because she did not believe the item existed! I went home and bought online. I asked so many questions and all of her answers were spot on with what I was looking for and what she suggested. She did multiple looks with different shades and I never felt more beautiful tbh.
