To say this place is messed up and racist an doesnāt care about someone with mental health and disabilities, is an understatement. I made reservations in July with the notion they offered rooms with 2 queens and pull out sofas as other TownePlace Suites Iāve stayed at offer. I made my 2 queen suite reservation and was hesitant due to past bad racial experiences with other Marriott locations, but I needed a kitchen. So I booked anyways. I arrived at the hotel to check in an as soon as I started to both bob and other Caucasian co worker were whispering to each other but I still paid it no mind as I was just tired from the long 4 hr drive with my family of 7 and Iām handicap so my legs wanted rest quick. I was checked in and went upstairs to my room. I opened the door an as soon as I opened it I starting having a whole panic attack. The rooms are extremely small. There is no pull out sofas, and the kitchen is so small I almost missed it at first glance. I became overwhelmed and immediately went back down to inform bob. Bob informed me that their location doesnāt offer what others do after he already swiped my card. I even came in with all my family of 7 so you think Bob wouldāve said something like wait you all canāt fit in their but maybe thatās why they were whispering to each other, who knows. I told Bob to cancel because I explained to him that with my disabilities I canāt sleep in that room itās to small for me and for my family. Even if I was alone with no one that room is to small for me, and instead he refused to cancel an said just find another place an we will cancel at no charge. He seemed like he cared about my disabilities at first. Iām not from here or ever been their just was visiting sick family member so after searching I found a place an called to inform bob. However he then had a change of mind, telling me that he changed his mind and itās to late for me to cancel anything. I became confused, because before I left the hotel he practically begged me not to cancel but then said he would once I found a place there was never a time limit. I then went in to ask him why the change of heart and he became very nasty with me an denying he said I could cancel when my whole family heard him say I could. I then asked for his name and his smart a** gonna wright his name with a smirk on his face and tell me he is a platinum member which I never asked him to tell me this. Insinuating that his bosses will believe him instead of me. Turns out they did because I was charged the full room and tax to my debit card $126.54. Never again will I stay with any Marriott. Hiltonās are cleaner, not racist and show me more respect then this. Iām Diamond with Hilton and will stay this way with them. Marriott will never see a dime of my money. If you have any disabilities or black do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have stayed at this hotel before, and liked it enough to try again. This time, our stay was not as nice. The room was clean, and the breakfast was good, however, there was a dog across the hall who barked for 10 minutes at a time several times during the late night and early morning. This isn't the hotel's fault per se, but maybe the rooms need more sound-proofing or insulation if they are going to allow dogs, or they need to put guests with dogs in a separate block of rooms together. I am a dog owner myself, and would feel terrible if my dog disrupted someone's sleep, so this might make everyone - both dog owners and other guests - more comfortable. Secondly, at breakfast I asked if there was french vanilla coffee creamer available, as I didn't see any. The staff member got some from a cabinet and said that they have it and will give it to you if you ask, but they don't put it out during breakfast "because it goes too fast." Maybe this is because people want it! If you have it, why wouldn't you put it out for people to enjoy?! That is not how you make your guests feel welcome and valued! Lastly, we ran out of both toilet paper and kleenex - there was very little of either in the bathroom to start with when we checked in. By the morning we had used up what was there, and there were no backups, so we called the front desk, and were told that some would be brought up "right away." After 20 minutes, my husband went to the lobby to use the restroom there, and after an hour we called again as still none had been brought up. The same person, Crystal, answered the phone and said, "Oh, I didn't realize that you needed them NOW!" This time, she did have them sent up. I'm sorry, but guests shouldn't have to beg for basic supplies that should be well stocked in every room. That does NOT make for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointing stay, we made our reservation in March for a handicap one bedroom suite, our check-in date was July 20-24 for our family reunion. By the way our entire family stays here, every year, so when we arrived to check in, no problem, until we got to the room, which was a King single mini suite, it was handicap accessible, but only the shower! My husband is an amputee and the reason we booked so far in advance was to make sure we had the 2 beds that are normal height for transition, we got one king size bed that was so high, he could not access. We went to the front desk and they said our suite was not available due to an extended stay client that did not check out, shouldn't have someone told us this?! The front desk person, said well there is a sofa, too low! At this point we had no other choice, between the family reunion, a baseball tournament and a festival, all other hotels are full. Then we find out no housekeeping, the hotel is 100% capacity and no housekeeping, come on Marriott! We get into the room, no trash bags, we had to request them, unacceptable in my opinion. Mold on the shower curtain, again unacceptable for a Marriott. The floors were so dirty, that if you walked across with no shoes, your feet were black. I could go on and on but I will send it to Marriott corporate. As I said, our family stays here every year, average of 50 people on average of at 3 days, for the past 10 years! Maybe it is time to take our business somewhere else! Very disappointing for a mega...
