I was told by this office a long time ago that they don't use ablative lasers anymore so I went elsewhere, and there I sat years later still saddled with a burn scar and an obliterated quality of life. (Insert the ever-humbling adage: "hindsight is 20/20"). Dr. Ort and his friendly staff administered frequent treatments until I was finally able to have surgery and excise the scar tissue. Some lasers are helpful and some are simply too strong. Dr. Ort previously operated fully-ablative lasers, but he stopped because he said the side effects outweighed the benefits, regardless of skill. At hundreds a pop and only minutes per procedure, their popularity among clinics is no surprise. It takes not only a good doctor, but a GOOD PERSON to put their patients before profit. He's also (of course) a great doctor, but a lot of great doctors are arrogant jerks so it's refreshing to get skill with amicable bedside manner. And it's not just Dr. Ort, but the staff is great too, especially Jean! She always lights up the room and makes getting stabbed in the face a little less sucky.

Dr. Ort and his staff are wonderful! It's been a year and a half and I continue to enjoy excellent results and professional service with Dr Ort and staff. Very grateful for Dr Ort and staff - my job demands the services I receive, many of which can go terribly wrong if performed by poorly qualified people. I've learned that Dr Ort has mastered skills that many dermatologists lack or are just "beginning to hone", and he excels in delicate services (such as injectables) that require vast experience and a degree of "artistry".
