Carmines Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Lone Tree

This is the worst experience we have ever had ordering pizza or any food for that matter. We ordered a pizza for a house full of children at 4pm. 2.5 hours later we call as a pizza never arrived. The snooty employee informed us that they had somehow not received our address on the online order so they never sent a pizza but would now send it out. 45 minutes later we receive an ice cold pizza that was so cold it felt refrigerated. It was clearly the same pizza from ordering 3 hours prior. We call back a spoke with a young man who claimed to be the manager who was very apologetic and pleasant and said they would send out a fresh pizza immediately. One hour later we still have not received a pizza so we call back and speak to the original snooty female employee who now also claims to be the manager. She informed us that the pizza was never sent out and she wasn’t sure why the previous employee informed us that we would receive a new pizza. She provided a refund but we wouldn’t receive a pizza. We waited 4 hours in total to receive an edible pizza for a house of children and then never received one. The absolute worst...

I hate to review places we like, due to the fact of everyone else finding them, and then we can't get a seat anymore. Yes, that's selfish, and I admit it :) This is one of those places. Consistent, good food, friendly. When you want a thin crust NY style pizza, and a decent atmosphere, casual, this will fill the need. Don't look for some thick overly meaty greasy pizza, If you want that, go to Pizza Hut. Our problem though, after having it to ourselves for a few years, everyone else has finally found it, so if you try to go prime time, better CALL AHEAD. or risk waiting for a while for a table or booth. Bathrooms are clean, again, that usually means the rest of the place is clean and kept up. That's all you need to know. If the parking lot is full, and tables are full, for the most part, it will be acceptable. This one is like that. We'll adjust our visits around the busy hours :), as we hate to fight the crowds... P.S. I'm still keeping our favorites out of our reviews, at least until they get overly busy, then I'll give them up..... It's like giving away your favorite fishing hole or something alon...

Had so many troubles with dominoes and pizza hut that we dont use them anymore and we tried a few other pizza places but all of them fell short. Then we tried Carmines pizza and also got calzones, and as a former chef at an Italian restaurant for 10 years I can say that they made an amazing meal and they really made a great calazone and pizza and everything tasted fresh. They put smiles on all my families face. We will most definitely order again from them.

Update 07/26/2022 they brought us are food and one pizza was smashed and when I called they didn't even question me and made sure they sent a new one out right away. The customer service is on point. They are very caring and always put customers 1st. This is the only pizza place we trust and use for the last 2 years and will continue to get pies from them.

Update 01/30/2024 Stromboli came luke warm at best and tiramisu looked store bought and came a little smashed. Still better pizza then anyone around, but missed the...
