I ordered balloons for my brothers repass the night before, I asked that they be available by 3pm the next day. I got to the store at around 5pm I walked in and the young lady was on the ladder restocking and said oh I’m sorry I forgot about your order. Her and 2 other employees started to blow up the balloons at that time they mentioned they didn’t have the color strings to match the balloons I ordered. I said why didn’t you mention this yesterday? They all just gave blank stares. Mind you this was for my brothers home going service my moms wishes. One of the ladies was like well we don’t have navy blue.. then she’s like oh we don’t have white either I’m standing there in disbelief. The balloons weren’t ready and now you don’t have the correct supplies to complete the job? I settled for what they had. As they were blowing the balloons I noticed they were over filling them I asked for them not to do that but they just stared at me. As a result of the over filling a few balloons popped in the car. I asked them to bag the balloons it was very windy they acted as if they had no idea what I was talking about. Fast forward I take them to the drop off location I arrive by 6:30pm to set everything up. The service was 3 pm the next day. I get a call while at my brothers funeral that all the balloons were down. They checked the cameras and noticed that around 10pm the night before the balloons started to deflate. I have experience with balloons there’s no way they should have deflated that soon. I didn’t want to ruin my moms wishes my best friend had to emergency call in a balloon company to try and replace the balloons before the repass. Ordering went smooth the owner was very nice so I decided to order with them, arrival of equipment and quality of equipment also fine. AFTER the party is where the trouble started. My party was over Saturday and they were supposed to come pick up on sunday. No one called me and no one showed up to pick up. Ok, next day I call about 20 times and no one answers and they dont have an answering machine. I share a yard with 3 neighbors and I have 70 chairs, tables and a jumper sitting in the back. So finally I show up to the store Nd the owner is surprised that the equipment hasn't been picked up, doesnt apologize just says it will be picked up. The driver then calls me a few hours and wants to come by. I told him to come in about 30 min and he said he would be there and call me when in the front. He never came and never called. Now it's tuesday suff still at my house, I called again and the owner said it would be picked up or " I could keep it". Not once did anyone apologize. Soooo unprofessional. I will definitely not being going back. They finally came and p9cked it up at a time I wasnt even home, they just let themselves into my property whenever they felt like it , took the stuff and left. Upon arriving home and opening the items, we were shocked to find that nearly all of the candy was extremely old, discolored, and visually unappealing. Some of it even appeared to be expired or improperly stored.
Selling old and potentially expired food, especially to children, is completely unacceptable. This raises major concerns not only about quality control but also about health and safety. As a parent/customer, I expect the products I purchase—especially items meant for kids—to be fresh, safe, and handled with care.
