Northgate González Market — Local services in Long Beach

It was grand opening weekend, lots of people and lots of cars but not as hectic as we thought it would be. AMP radio stand was right outside by the entrance when we were there and so were the workers who happen to give away free mop after you purchase anything 'crown' on aisle 4.

The market was well organized and the customer service was quite nice. There are two entrance, one is to the grocery section and the other side is the food court. If you enter from the grocery section, you'll find the bakery on your right hand side. In the back is where the meat and seafood is located and the workers were helpful. Make sure to grab your number when it's busy because you wouldn't want to wait longer than you are suppose to. By the food court, there's lots of different kind of Mexican ceviche, snacks and a section of the store's homemade tortillas for $1.99. Yup, you can sure see them make it homemade in person.

Must go there when they have promotions over the weekend. When we went, we bought 10 lb worth of chicken thigh/legs for only .39 cent lb!!! Yup for only $4 something. Too bad it was limited to per person, but it was a deal!

If you live by Long Beach area and want to shop cheap with fresh products, I think you'll need to check...

Don't think this store prioritizes customer satisfaction , this location only does enough to get by..whatevers essential to keep the store standing and management sitting..my mom and her husband specifically walked in there just for a birthday cake which happens to be besides the exit doors. Their security guard made it a hassle for her and her senior husband to go back out the store to re enter correctly through the "entrance" door where it now forces them to walk around they're little hand rail/gate blocking u from experiencing any convenience while u now have to maze thru the crowded lines by checkout...when my mom had already literally made her place in the bakery's line. My lil ol mom made the bald buff security guy feel un-easy so suspicious due to her obstructing his view from his EXsit post spot. Not even the store manager accommodated her choosing the way most easily accessible for her. If this incident took place on any other day and Not on the day of her birthday, i would've never wasted my time rating the inevitable level of rude encounters while shopping here....

I gave it 4 stars because the lines move slow so plan acordingly. They have a nice selection of produce. Not all their weights are calibrated properly, so pay attention to that. Customer service is good. They have a nice array of meats. Butchers are quick and efficient. They have good deals on their name brand. They remodeled their deli section so it looks more attractive but maybe they can get lids for their stuff cause at one point there were a lot of flies. I'm sure they'll work out all their kicks with that. They have some mexican items like sombreros and cantaritos, decorations and banks, piñatas. Their bakery is good. I like the fact that they have mini pan dulce. They do have liquor and their medicine in locked so dont get discouraged if you dont find it in the isles. I believe they have a check cashing and monegram place. Will keep...
