I've been here twice now and I'm kicking myself for not coming more often! This is hands down the best Thai place in the Long Beach area and I'd venture to say it's one of the best in California! To be honest, I've never written a restaurant review before but this place was so good I was compelled to. It's hard to even find Khao Soi outside of Northern Thailand much less good Khao Soi, and theirs was the best! It brought me back to sitting outside at a street vendor in Chiang Rai watching the clock show! I've not tried anything else here because I was too blown away by this dish, but if it's any indication, I'm sure the rest of the menu is amazing too.
Service is always very prompt and done with a smile! And as an added bonus, they have a small amount of parking out back so you don't have to deal with finding street parking.
All in all I urge you to visit Elephant Thai! You won't be...
Read moreI found this place about 3 years ago while visiting Long Beach. I finally had the opportunity to go back this past weekend and it’s as good as I remember. The service here is amazing, the restaurant is run by a handful of very friendly ladies. They were very attentive and helpful with the menu. We ordered the spicy fried rice under ‘medium’ spicy and it was a little too spicy for my taste, but still bearable and delicious. Keep that in mind if you can’t handle spicy foods. I also ordered a young coconut water. Very refreshing. And this place doesn’t serve alcohol. But no biggie, their Thai ice tea and other beverages go great with the dishes. Can’t...

This is one of my top 2 places for Thai food in Long Beach. Excellent and authentic flavor, the right amount of spicy and decent prices make this place a gem. The chef is from Northern Thailand so you can order dishes that are unique to that area, something that really makes this place stand out. I have never eaten such delicious Khao Soi (a northern Thai noodle dish) outside of Thailand. Only dish I have had here that was just so so was the pad krappow moo krob (stir fry with basil and fried pork belly), but that is a novelty dish...
