ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to like about this place. First and foremost, they are defrauding Los Angeles County by accepting funds for providing people In the General Relief welfare program the most horrendous, sub-par, vermin infested, non-ventilated, unsecured "furnishings" that you could imagine. It's actually not fit as per health code violations to house human beings and perhaps even animals. Beyond that, they are scamming the lodgers by handing counterfeit bills as change, or when guests ask for their money back when disgusted, and decide they are leaving. (To which I was required to give them a twenty dollar deposit, and when upon entry to the room and after failed attempts to negotiate with the landlords to AT LEAST provide proper ventilation for air circulation within the room. I decided that I would much rather sleep in my vehicle then occupy the offered room and I required my money back) The landlady/manager handed me a twenty dollar bill, it being dark in the parking lot and being exhausted from driving from Pasadena where I was issued the Hotel Voucher, I was just eager to return back. The next day attempting to purchase gas the attendant informed me the bill was a fake and that just took these hotel owners to FEDERAL CRIME status. Yes I am calling the local United States Secret Service field office on Figueroa st in downtown LA, YES I am going to give the agents there the counterfeit bill in the plastic bag I have it sealed in, and yes I am going to tell them everything I know about the manager/landlords of The Princess Inn on Magnolia st in Long Beach, California. Im just not sure if I should call the USSS before or after I call my LA County Social Worker, the County Public Health and Safety Office and the Long Beach Police Department. If ever thinking of staying here whether it by hotel voucher thru GR or of your own wallet, PLEASE DO NOT. YOU'LL BE PUTTING YOUR HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SECURITY...
Read moreThe room was disgusting, but I like disgusting. They let me check in at like 7am so that was cool! The Shower had perfect pressure and the water stayed nice and hot while I spent 30 minutes curled up on the floor trying to clean off the prior nights debauchery from my twacked-out corpse of a body. I almost lost my cool though when upon check-out I couldn't locate my room key. I had just used it so it definitely had to be around. I concluded that I must have left it in the door and someone snatched it to claim my $5 deposit. I asked the front desk guy numerous times if he had seen it or even took it himself, to which he replied to every question a disheartening "No". I shouted, "Well I'm not leaving this room till I find that key!!!" And then a light bulb went off in my head. I returned to the front desk and very specifically asked "has anyone returned my room key to you already in order to snake my $5 deposit?" Without a reply he handed me five bucks and shook his head yes. You gotta...
