Longs Peak Grocery Market — Local services in Longmont

It was a tiny story, but I found everything I was looking for.

Edit: Ok this is actually a pretty awesome store. Their ginger is fresher than anything I've found in the supermarket for months.

And I bought some of their thai rice, and it was AMAZING. I almost bought their dragonfly brand rice because I like dragonfly brand sausages, but it was "broken" style rice, which I'm not a fan of. I can't vouch for all the rice there, but the "members mark" brand rice tastes great. I think I bought their last bag though.

I got some of their thai chili peppers, and some were hot, and some were SUPER...

Absolutely fantastic store. If you love cooking Indian food, you are very likely to find any ingredient needed here. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, their Momos are terrific. Word of warning, however, call ahead at least 30 minutes to make sure they have Momos available. The go quickly, but they are willing to make fresh given enough warning. I called today and had to wait 1 hour for mine, since someone else had just beaten me to the punch and their order was already in the works. 30 minutes for theirs, 30 minutes for mine. Well...

I enjoyed browsing around this store; they have many organic items, and some local items like jalapeno apricot jam that looked yummy! I loved looking at the many Indian and Nepalese packaged ingredients and ready-made foods, and it's great to know where to go to find some of the harder-to-find ingredients (like fresh curry leaves) that Indian recipes require. Mina is the proprietress; she said she'd be happy to help me with any ingredients or recipes so I can make a great dish...
