We had our cow processed here and it was a breeze working with them. They were great with communication, asking what cuts we would like and answering any questions we had. When picked up they were very organized and quick to bring out our order. Even asked if we needed help with loading the meat into our coolers. We also took a look around the butcher shop and they had such a great assortment of meats, premade dinners with all of the meat options that were offered, dinner sides(pasta salads, potatoe salad and things like that) not to mention a lot of seasonings/marinades. We purchased a few of the twice baked potatos and jerky sticks and they were SO good. Can’t wait to come back!

Brought in an 80 pound hanging weight deer. I got back 42 pounds of sausage. You can't tell me that 49 percent of my deer were bones! I talked to Matt and he was annoyed at my question and said that was normal. What about the fat they put in!? He said it depends on how much they need to trim off and insinuated "gut shot" trim off. My shot was a perfect pass through the lungs. I even got a compliment from the guy who hung it for me on the nice job of cleanup I did. Matt's math is not correct! I will not be going back!

Perfect! Matt's Custom Meats handled my 3 hogs from the kill to the packaging in a very professional manor. You fill out a cut sheet and they cut and wrap per your request. They can make your meat into so many things. I had Hams and bacon cured, Hot Italian sausage made, bratwurst made, and breakfast sausage links made to name a few. Great job again Matt Thank You! We will be back!!!! Look at that Awesome Bacon!!!

After several years of being told to try these guys out, I finally did and I am impressed!

The first thing I noticed is how friendly and inviting they are. Even on the phone. Everyone I dealt with was young. But they have great customer service skills and they are very knowledgeable.

They seem to have better options for custom selections. One young lady in the office educated me on some of the meat process and led me to make some good choices.

It smells very clean. Usually a butcher shop smells like meat. I didnt notice this here. Not that it's a big deal to smell meat at a butcher shop, but It actually smelled clean. Like a hospital or something.

On the day they said it would be done, I got a call. Once again , friendly and professional. Gave me the total. Told me payment options.

I started to get excited when I went to pick up my game. I followed another rig up the hill to the shop that had Oregon plates. If this guy made the drive from Oregon, I might be in the right place. I spoke with the guy once we arrived. He explained that this place, is the only place.

When my game meat came out. It was frozen solid and stacked nicely. Everything is neat. Stacked neat, packaged neat, all of it. Clean, neat, organized.

In closing, the wife and I are very pleased with the experience, from first call to the table. Perfect!!

Thanks, we will...

I used to love making a special trip to town to stock up on your yummy meats and to see your friendly staff for some witty banter but literally cannot go near your store with that horrific tower just a few yards from your front door. Did anyone bother to read the warning sign on that sucker? I am so sick now from the frequencies we've allowed to be put up all around us that I bought a meter to measure the RF pounding our community. According to EMF experts, the beginning of the worst level is 1000 microwatts per square meter. I passed towers pumping out 244,000 microwatts per square meter. That new tower right outside your door can and will kill you. Your employees shrugged when I told them I could not safely shop there. I have 4 free ribeyes coming and am unable to collect or to buy any more tomahawk steaks. I now drive to Woodland to shop in relative safety at a store not right next to a tower. Their products and prices are good at McPhees but they're not the same. I miss you guys and hope you and your employees survive that environment but if you did this to yourself and are getting paid for that placement - I have nothing good to say and hope you have good life insurance for your employees whose families are...

We have them butcher around 12 beef a year for our farm customers. They do a great job. I understand that many reviewers have a natural distrust of all butchers when it comes to their game and meat in general. I think it is kind of ingrained in us hunters from an early age.

You can't bring in 100 pounds of meat, however, and think you are going to get 100 pounds back, it just doesn't work that way. For instance, the customer complaining that they didn't get the right amount of pepperoni back ins't understanding that when you smoke pepperoni, it dries out. It will consequently lose some weight. You can bring in 20 pounds, add suet(which I never have done btw,) and still have less than 20 pounds because of shrinkage and dehydration during smoking the pepperoni. It does add up if you take into consideration the loss of moisture.

Basically, if you don't trust someone, don't do business with them, but don't badmouth them in a public forum when you don't fully understand the process either. This is their job, and from our experience, they do a...
