Terrible customer service in electronics. This was one of the last two places we had to go looking for a xbox one s for one of my kids, for Christmas. Everywhere seems to be sold out (2 weeks from Christmas). We went straight to the electronics dept... We noticed that there were several versions of the xbox one consoles mixed up in the different display cases (about 10 systems) but we couldn't see the boxes well enough to read the box through the glass. My wife asked the guy that was working the electronics area, (since he had been standing there 5 feet away from us and the case), she asked "Do you know if y'all have anymore of the xbox one s's with the 1 terabyte drive in stock?" This jackass responds "Nah I don't think so, if you don't see it in that case, we ain't got it!", and then walked away. I was like really?? I was furious after that response! So, I got to looking in the case and I could see on the side of one of the boxes it said "xbox one s 1Tb", I got to looking around and there were more, there were even some xbox one's in the PlayStation cabinet. after my wife asked another guy that came up from the back, it turns out there were several, although they were the themed versions (which cost a little bit more), the answer to my wife's question should've been "Yes we have them!" or "I'm not sure let me look". None of them ever once, opened any one of the three cabinets and looked, although the second guy did go to the back (which if he would've been paying attention to his job, he might've known there were some in the display cases. Terrible service, too busy to help you because they seemed that they had more important things to do. After I watched them for a minute, I notice that one of them was real intrested in helping the cute little smiling girl three isles down, that was clearly intrested in something other than buying something! Good job Target! You lost about a 500 dollar purchase! We didn't end up buying the system, the extra controller or the 4 games we were after. We did go to GameStop a few blocks down the road and was out of there in 20 mins and saved a lot compared to Target pricing. Funny thing is, I wasn't even price shopping, I just wanted to get my purchases over with and get home. You can give them boys a raise for all I care, neither my wife nor I will be shopping at your broken down store...
Read moreI belong to a Target FB group and I see all the wonderful deals and specials people from other Targets have. It never fails every time I go to my Target- RARELY can I find super deals as I did in the past, the employees aren't near as helpful or understanding (not all but a handful).Example, today, I went to use my Cartwheel 20% off clearance boys shoes. Found a nice pair- box clearly marked AND it was in the clearance section- pic on box matched the shoes in box. Score. Went to check out- they rang up $32.99. Brought it to the cashier's attention- basically was treated like I changed labels. No offer to give at that price (it was the ONLY pair in my child's size) or even at a discounted price. Had another item that rang up 'Not found'. Wanted to charge me $6 for a CHRISTMAS ITEM. Nope. Then when I finally checked out- my one of the cartwheel offers didn't take so I went to customer service to get it fixed. The cashier stopped me and asked what I was doing. I just felt like I was a suspect or something. I've used this cashier before and never a problem. Today though- vastly...
Read moreBusiness and customer service wise Target is great; however, I’ve recently learned something about how they treat their employees. Did you know while employed there, if for any reason you have a corrective action taken against you, no matter the severity, they will prevent you from getting a promotion for 1 year, plus you will be denied a raise and become ineligible to receive any type of bonus! ? That practice seems grossly unfair and highly inappropriate given one of Targets “core values” is Growth.
Taken from the Target website - “Target grows by investing in its people, their development, and opportunities to reach their fullest potential.”
A company that enforces such a despicable policy, which is clearly counterintuitive to their core values, is egregious and disgusting.
I’ve had this information confirmed by more than one person who works for the company. I won’t shop here ever again knowing this. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Everybody makes mistakes and everybody has a bad day on occasion,...
