Homesense — Local services in Longwood

All I can say is.. YES.... what a great store it's a cross over from HomeGoods and Pier One. Yes, they have the same products of HomeGoods, but the style and setup of Pier One.Yes... Yes....Yes... the staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Only pit fall... mostly cashiers. they could use sales associates on the floor to help with up safety issues, high chairs, stock... but mostly to engage with customers....validate their purchases/ selections. doing that at the cash wrap is too late, in my opinion. In the past three weeks, I have been into the store 4 or 5 times... having just moved here from Massachusetts, I am starting fresh with bright bold and inviting colors for my home decor. I found many.....many ceramic pots for my herb garden... bedding, towels, shower curtain, and the best deal on denby plates and bowls along with baking dishes sized for one.... The lamp sale....4 new lamps . move in date is July 1st... I'm thankful the store being close enough for an outing and far enough that I wouldn't want to travel the distance for a part-time job. I'd love to have photos...maybe when the home is set up... I'll add a few .. right now everything is still in bags washed and ready to be...

Prices are much higher than TJ Maxx and Ross. You would think the service would be higher to match the higher prices, but it isn’t.

Don’t even try to tell me that these stores don’t compare, this location had several items identical, same brand same price everything as my local TJ Maxx.

Me: Excuse me, do you have more of these items somewhere else?

Employee: You just have to look around and see

The lady at the register asked me if I wanted a home sense credit card, I said not with this service. I let her know what happened and she defended the guy. I told her it’s not what you say, it’s how it’s said.

??? So am I being paid to know the inventory of your store or you? Do I have a device to scan and look...

I would put this as an average home goods store. The store is clean but very cramped with merchandise. Typical discounted items that are probably leftovers from other stores. Some good deals (like sheets) but if you are looking for something specific, it may be a challenge. Go in with the expectation that you need an item but not necessarily brand specific and...
