I was initially placed at a table directly under an air conditioning duct, which was blowing extremely cold air. It was a bit uncomfortable and prompted me to move to a more comfortable spot. While this was a minor hiccup in an otherwise enjoyable evening, it’s something to consider when choosing your table.

Wow! We've heard great things about BHP from family and friends up in NE FL so we were delighted to find out there was a location in Lake Mary closer to us. We decided to finally try it and were pleasantly surprised. Since moving to FL from NY, good authentic pizza and Italian has been hard to find. We started with the cheesy garlic bread that was delicious. It was a nice portion for 2-3 people easily. The plate was swimming in oil though but somehow the bread was still crispy. We then ordered a chicken parm and a Sunday gravy & meatballs. My husband enjoyed the meatballs and the sauce itself. Not maybe places have a good red sauce so we were happy that we both enjoyed it here. My chicken parm was perfection..the chicken was crispy and the mozzarella was perfectly melted. Again, the plate was covered in oil (I don't know why?) But somehow didn't effect the taste or texture. The breading stayed in tact too which I find more common than not to be an issue with chicken parm. We saw the price point was a bit high for "pizzeria chicken parm" but I got three cutlets and a good portion of spaghetti which was worth the higher price point. The food felt like home which we are excited about! Definitely worth the 25 minute drive!! We're looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes. I wish I had taken photos!

My only small "complaint" doesn't impact my 5 star rating because the food was THAT good, but I wish the servers were a bit more friendly. Both servers that checked on us didn't seem very thrilled to be there and one even at some point slammed a cup down on the table very abruptly and walked away. They checked on us and everything, i just felt like we were an inconvenience to some degree. Since it was our first time, we were not ready to order immediately and it felt like we annoyed them for having to look at the menu. Something seemed off overall with service but again, hopefully just an off day working after...

This place is a must visit! Love the ambiance! Very New York! The food was beyond delicious! All of the food is very intentionally designed from the Chef’s childhood and family roots. The lasagna ball was interesting and delicious. It is accompanied by a homemade bolognese sauce that is rich and tasty. The garlic knot was fresh and well flavored. The meatball was so delicious!! I don’t usually love homemade meatballs but this was light and flavorful! The sauce is perfectly flavored without that acid heavy feeling of so many sauces! This is so good! The Greek salad was so crisp and contained only the freshest toppings. The dressings are made in house and perfectly complement the salad. The stuffed grape leaves were a first for me and are a nice touch! The NY style Popeye pizza (white pizza with spinach) is so good! I am a huge white pizza fan and this one is top notch! The ricotta is incredibly light and has a great flavor. The Detroit style Haymaker pizza is unlike anything in the area! The crust is thick and doughy but in the best way! The sauce has a sweetness I have never tasted before. It was so good! The baked ziti was tasty and I loved the scoops of ricotta on top! I thought the ricotta was a great touch but I thought it was a bit too chilled to be on the warm pasta. I think if the dish was a bit warmer, it would probably help to warm the ricotta a bit. Otherwise, yum! The chicken parmigiana was delicious and well proportioned with its ingredients. Finally, the cheesecake was so good and creamy! The crust is light but complements the rich cheesecake. And the cannoli shell was perfectly crunchy and the filling was creamy. I’m excited to bring the family back for more!
