Haven't been a fan of Winn-Dixie at any point in my time in Central Florida. Understandably, the chain has been around for decades, many people have become accustomed to the model, while stil appearing to be more traditional in operation, somewhat like Publix. However, with my limited experience thus far versus the multiple visits to this location in particular (each week), I haven't really been impressed. I suppose the real perk would be the Winn-Dixie savings and attention to store organization.
As far as variety of products and produce, it's pretty decent; items on sale are a nice bonus. On the overall quality of items and produce, I'm not so sure at this point. I'd like to see at least 2/5 to 1/2 of produce a lot more fresh, free from in-store spoiling, wilting, mold growth, unappealing appearances that may deter customers away from purchasing produce.
As for both fresh, other non-fresh and non-produce products (frozen fruit, frozen/can vegetables, etc.), health and dietary indications such organic, no artificial ingredients, no sugar/salt/oil would be a good improvement to actually see in store products.
Obviously, considering how many Americans have a demand for these kinds of implementations is more sparse, but pointing them out for chain groceries is a start. There have been more then one than a few visits of experiencing problems and hiccups with self- checkout, but I understand that system could be newer, or heavy on security, as well as over sensitivity.
With this review, hopefully it can help users on Google Maps and grocery store customers pay closer attention to quality and detail. If anything, at least...
Read moreEasy in easy out. This place always has good deals and great wings. We enjoyed our wings while celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary. I posted this back in 2019, but here we are 4 years later, 2023. This is my update: Sadly to say things just aren’t what they use to be. The wings are atrocious, over cooked, dried out, over sauced and just chew like leather. It doesn’t look like anybody really puts any effort into detail or quality anymore. Wings are thrown in a cooker, and whatever comes out, comes out regardless of their condition. The cleanliness is horrible, and a number of times I’ve tasted the cleaning solution on the wings, almost as if they oversprayed when wiping down the counter. Everyone I’ve spoken to for any help seems to be angry, or just totally fed up and frustrated. I understand customers can be difficult to work with sometimes, but when you treat someone with respect and courtesy, you expect it back, but you’re not receiving that in return anymore sadly. Upon checkout, I was overcharged by $6.50 dollars and when I asked for it to be corrected they were all angry as if I wasn’t entitled to it and I was really putting them out. I hope things turn around and the old Winn Dixie returns along with all the improvements they have made. I know a new company bought Winn Dixie, let’s hope things are...
Read moreBy far the worst winn dixie I've ever been to. I only shop here every few months, my first visit in a long time I had a cashier stare me down at the self check out and I heard her speak to a coworker who saw her behavior say "I'm just making sure they are paying for everything". Mind you the person who was watching over the area had no issue with me.
My next and now last visit a young woman who was maning the front desk was disgusting. After waiting a few minutes for her to show up, she snatched our lotto tickets, rolled her eyes and didn't care to hide her attitude. Then we clearly saw how she treated another customer, the woman went to the wrong register and this worker screamed from across the Isle at her. When the customer asked where should she go this worker slammed her hand on the register and loudly complained to a coworker she couldn't stop flirting with for 2 seconds "she doesn't listen" This was on Easter Sunday- if she was upset about working at a grocery store she should have stayed home.
Only one person in the entire store was decent and it was the you man at register 3. He greeted us in and told us we would be helped everyone else was awful. Including the other young woman maning the self...
