I will never visit this location again. I am recovering from a medical condition and went to subway to make something within my dietary restrictions. When I was making my sub, both workers were pretty rude which I brushed off due to the lunch rush but the older Caucasian woman who rang me up made a very rude comment towards me. I was waiting to be rung up and she brought my co-workers sandwich into my order so I volunteered to pay, which we do for each other very often. My coworker insisted that she pay because she was adding chips but I told her it was fine, I’d cover. She asked me to ask the cashier if it was a meal with chips and if she should also get a drink. The cashier said yes it was a meal and I said ok perfect. The cashier asked if I wanted chips and a drink as well and I said no, (because of the dietary restrictions). The cashier then said, “can’t afford the meal because you’re paying for her now?” I was kind of mind blown that she really said that so I said, “yeah I guess I must be broke”. As a black woman in times coming similar to the 1950’s and 1960’s, I am seriously offended and I say she is definitely RACIST!! Not saying this to brag, but to moreso detail my presentation in the restaurant, my purse was $800 and the jewelry I had on was $3,000. I looked it up and I make 3-4 times her salary so the fact that she has the audacity to say that to me was mind blowing. All of my co-workers heard it and agreed I should definitely report this. Honestly if I weren’t feeling sick I would have told her not to worry about the order and I would have gone to another location. I am placing this complaint everywhere because she needs to be removed from the location or given some serious training on how to work with people from if different socio-economic backgrounds.
