I was drawn to Blo Salon because of the 4.8 rating and booked a 10:30am appointment on September 19. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from start to finish. When I arrived, I was left waiting and then taken to the wash station by someone who barely spoke to me. I had just had surgery and came in already self conscious about my extra long, curly, textured hair. Instead of sensitivity, I received a dull wash and massage with zero engagement. I was then moved to another chair, which initially gave me hope because I saw the stylist before me create a beautiful look. But as soon as she started brushing my hair, she handed me a look book with no real consultation. At one point, she even asked if my hair was “normally this matted” a question that was tactless at best, humiliating at worst. To make matters worse, I overheard her and another stylist whispering in Spanish, complaining and making fun of my hair. The service itself lacked both technique and care. No product was used on my textured hair during the blow dry (something any professional should know is essential). When I asked for oil because my hair needs it she resisted and acted annoyed. Eventually, she applied two pumps of product, only to the ends, leaving most of my hair untreated. Unsurprisingly, the moment I stepped outside, my blowout frizzed up exactly as I warned it would. This isn’t my first blowout, but it’s the first time I left looking worse than when I arrived, feeling disrespected, and having paid $89 plus a 22% tip (only because detangling my hair deserved acknowledgment). By the next morning, despite wrapping and protecting it overnight, my hair was unsalvageable. As someone who works in hospitality as a general manager, I can confidently say this experience could have been saved with communication and listening. It’s not the client’s job to make the stylist comfortable it’s the stylist’s responsibility to make the client feel cared for. Blo Salon, please take this feedback seriously. Look at your lower star reviews many of them echo the same issue. If your team isn’t trained to handle textured hair, own that, learn, and grow from it. But do not put clients through an experience like this again.

What have I been missing out on my whole life!!!!! I had my first blow out a week ago. It was AMAZING. I first walked in was greeted by the staff. Everyone was happy! I was assigned to Zak. After Zak washed my hair (great head massage with a great smelling shampoo and conditioner) He then moved me to his chair. He asked which style I’d like. I said for him to do what he thinks looks best for me. He proceeded with curls. I knew in my head that it’s not going to last an hour after leaving the salon since my hair is so fine and super straight. Boy was I wrong, I had my curls in since noon and by 11 pm, the curls were still holding on tight! Great customer service and my hair has never looked better! He didn’t push me to purchase any products, which I love! After leaving, I had to come back and ask which products he used on me, I went ahead and purchased it bc their products work so well on my hair. 10 out of 10 recommend making an appointment!

Came in and chelsea was our stylist , my daughter got glitter tinsel and a blow out . Normally she deals with her hair getting tangled and Chelsea was gentle and patient and educated us on the products being used ,no issues with tangles ! She suggested a wet brush that we purchased as well as the detangling spray . She did her tinsel April 25 and it lasted an entire month and she even was able to go swimming and everything. She made her feel like a princess and pampered. The entire experience was special and exciting for my daughter. We will definitely be coming back and she adored Chelsea . She gave her the exact style she wanted and it lasted very well , I was surprised it lasted this long they stay in an entire month and I’m sure could have gone longer . Highly recommend this place, very clean and kind staff . Very aesthetically pleasing and chelsea took amazing care of my daughter . Love the family atmosphere vibe !

I get blowouts very regularly, my hair is on the thicker side but not long (barely shoulder length). I had booked a blowout, scalp treatment, and massage for my first visit to Blo to have a nice spa like afternoon for myself.

My stylist felt she needed more time so she called to adjust her next client, who she said often no-shows, but didn’t proceed to do the scalp treatment or massage. Fine.

After my blowdry, however, I was charged more because my services took longer. This was not disclosed BEFOREHAND. Stylist claimed my hair was too thick and I would need to pay for extended styling. I had never been charged for having thick hair before at any other blowdry bar. I wasn’t warned or given a heads up, and I didn’t get the massage or scalp treatment I had booked - but was still required to pay more after the fact once the service was complete. The stylist should have disclosed this from the moment she assessed my hair.

I was forced to tip the stylist a set amount, not an amount of my choosing, regardless of the fact I didn’t receive services or experiences I desired. I left after spending $85, no scalp treatment or massage… feeling confused and scammed.

Overall bad experience. Do...
