AutoZone Auto Parts — Local services in Los Alamos

Went in looking for a Optima RedTop battery, had the model number and part number in hand. Dealt with an older gentleman there, when I asked if he had the model number I was looking for, he just pointed me to a rack of batteries with 8 batteries behind him and says, well we have these. 4 are redtop and 4 are yellowtops. At which point, I tell him, I need this specific model number. He then goes to the rack with the batteries on it, doesn't find the model number we're looking for and then tells me nope, we don't have the battery you're looking for. So I ask him, can you order this battery? He types in "battery" into the search bar, all kinds of battery related items pop up but no batteries. He scratches his head. Then he calls the lady manager over, asks her if they can order a battery. She states "Did you type in battery on the search bar?" At this point I ask if they have a suitable yellowtop battery for my needs. The closest one we could find was $50 more than I was willing to spend. Then, I went to O'Riely's, gave the gentleman behind the counter my model number and had the exact battery I needed...

This is in no way meant for the local chain…

Autozone as a business continues to become more and more hungry. Forget the fact they are an all in one shop, and in the converse anyone with a slight familiarity with the magnifying glass can do the job of the personnel on site…

Forget the fact any time I go in I know EXACTLY what I need and I pay a PREMIUM for said ability…

But let’s go ahead and mention the lack of value on anything worth investing in unless you decide to change your oil every 1000 miles…

The fact you treat your points system as an inherent joyous achievement, when you continue to add stipulations so far fetched that IF I were to adhere, my future generations would come to you doing what was wrong…

Showed up early this morning to the autozone as distressed millennials. Our engine had overheated and the handsome young man Diego came to our aid. He swiftly directed us to the resources and antifreeze we needed. He then proceeded to diagnosis our car problem. Like the volcanic mountains around us he stoically and beautifully resolved our issue. We thought we were going to be stranded or need a new engine. We will never forget you Diego thank you.
