Los Alamos' Ashley Pond Park is a serene oasis that harmoniously combines natural beauty, history, and community engagement. This park's allure lies not only in its picturesque surroundings but also in its historical significance and recreational offerings.

Nestled in the heart of Los Alamos, the park encircles the iconic Ashley Pond, a tranquil body of water that serves as a focal point for relaxation and reflection. The pond's gentle ripples mirror the surrounding greenery and the sky above, creating a peaceful ambiance perfect for unwinding or enjoying a leisurely stroll.

Beyond its natural charm, Ashley Pond Park stands as a testament to the Manhattan Project's history. Plaques and markers throughout the park provide insightful information about Los Alamos' role in the development of the atomic bomb. This subtle integration of history adds depth to the park experience, making it an educational stop for visitors interested in the region's past.

The park is more than just a historical site; it's a community hub. Families can be seen picnicking on the grass, children playing near the playground, and locals enjoying concerts and events hosted here. The amphitheater's stage often comes alive with cultural performances, further enriching the park's vibrant atmosphere.

In conclusion, Ashley Pond Park is a harmonious blend of nature, history, and community spirit. Whether you seek a tranquil escape, a glimpse into the past, or a place to bond with family and friends, this park's multifaceted appeal ensures an enjoyable...

A grassy Park, with a lovely pond in the middle and beautiful statuary scattered throughout, great for viewing ducks and fish, or getting a nice jog on the concrete track that encircles it. Right now is completely covered in snow and it's absolutely gorgeous. For some reason, not a lot of people seem to be taking advantage of the easy sledding available here. We definitely got some good runs on it. In the summer, there's a concert series that runs every Friday nights on the large stage beside the pond, and is kicked off by the amazing Igor and the Red Elvises. There is no play structure here, There is however, the library playground across the street. Visitors should also be aware, that the park is very hilly, with virtually no flat spaces...

What a great little pond. The fish are massive, the ducks are massive, and the grounds are very well kept. Saw a turtle too. Loved it. Minus one star because I spotted a few pieces of trash floating in the pond near the shoreline? For such a beautiful pond why is there obvious trash in the pond? It was a Tuesday so maybe they clean it on...

Great Friday night music on the green! Many, many people attended. Acoustics were excellent. Quite a variety of food vendors as well as a beer garden. That said, on any day of the week, Ashley Pond is a safe and beautiful place to stroll, enjoy a book by the water, or have a picnic. Clean, basic restrooms. Peace!

The county did a top rate job renovating the pond. It's now a beautiful Los Alamos destination. The ducks, fish, turtles, and lovely flowers are wonderful to have nearby. A little more work with trash collection would help however. It's a perfect place for a walk or a picnic.
