This is going to be a long review because according to Mark (the property manager), my situation was a bit unique - so please bear with me! I feel itās important for me to leave a detailed and honest review.
First, I want to say that I had a really positive experience overall. To be completely honest, there were times I felt hopeless and impatient due to my housing insecurity, but Mark was the patient one through it all. He personally advocated for me during his meetings with the compliance director, despite some unexpected complications with my paperwork. I was able to be completely transparent with him because I could tell he genuinely cares about people and about doing things the right way.
This is an affordable housing program regulated by the government, so understandably the approval process is extremely detailed and time-consuming. Theyāre strict because the property gets audited to ensure fairness and compliance for all tenants. My process took over a month to finalize. If youāre finding the application difficult, please know the property managers arenāt trying to make life harder for you. Their priority is to protect you and other residents from future housing or financial issues (for example, loss of eligibility, financial penalties, or even eviction).
Beyond that, the building itself is new, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Itās also LEED Gold certified, which is one of the most respected standards for measuring how environmentally conscious a building is. I was even more impressed once I learned that fact! Iād love to see it upgraded to LEED Platinum someday, perhaps with the installation of solar panels to save even more energy.
I also want to mention a few others who helped me along the way. Natalie, who I actually found through Facebook Marketplace (yes I discovered this place through FB marketplace!), first guided me toward applying. Then I met Maria, who was super sweet and kind and gave me a tour, and finally Ashley, who patiently went through stacks of paperwork with me and answered every question I had. Her visual memory is also excellent, remembering small details of my unit that need to be brushed up before I move in.
Overall, Iām very grateful for everyoneās professionalism, kindness, and integrity throughout what can be a stressful process. The people at this company truly care...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been residing here since May 2025, and my experience has been quite challenging. The lease clearly states that there is no parking available, yet there are designated spots that we are unable to use for extended periods. Consequently, I have received two parking tickets. As I am currently eight months pregnant and have two young children, finding parking has become increasingly difficult. The management shows little consideration for those with disabilities or expectant mothers, as overnight parking is not permitted. Additionally, we faced an ant infestation, which has since been resolved, but I discovered black residue on the windows in both the living room and children's room, the source of which remains unknown. To add to my frustrations, my car was broken into while parked on the street, and I am struggling to cover the costs of repairs. While I am grateful for having a roof over my head and my children, the challenges I face here are overwhelming.
The strict no-parking regulations in this area are incredibly frustrating, especially for those of us on a low income. Returning home at night often turns into a lengthy ordeal as I struggle to find parking, and the risk of receiving another ticket looms largeāI've already accumulated three. The situation is made even more challenging by my pregnancy, which adds to the difficulty of navigating these parking restrictions. I would advise anyone, particularly the elderly or expectant mothers, to think twice before moving here, as the parking policies seem to disregard the needs of vulnerable residents. I leave the house at 7am Monday - Friday to work for 8 hours and come home to this is WILD or wake up to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came to their open house on Saturday, 7/12 and I am so impressed by the community. From the moment I walked through the doors at 1999 on West 3rd, I felt genuinely welcomed. Natalie greeted me with such warmth and kindness- it set the tone for my entire experience this weekend. She was really knowledgeable, answering all my questions with patience and clarity.
After, Travis assisted me with the application process and was just as helpful and professional. It's clear that the team here truly cares about creating a great experience for potential residents. The amenities are great: fitness center, yoga room, and outdoor terrace, perfect for relaxing or gathering with friends.
Regarding the parking concerns that some people have mentioned, I don't think this should deter renters. This community was clearly designed with local, urban residents in mind- people who use public transportation, biking, or walking. The fact that there's no parking on site is clearly stated on the website, so anyone feeling surprised likely overlooked the details. If you read thoroughly and this lifestyle aligns with yours, this place is truly a gem. Highly recommend...
