Everything was perfect.
The hostess at the door was pleasant. Our waiter was so attentive, funny, and sweet that we cashed out a little early just to make sure he got his tip from us before his shift ended. The atmosphere was very chill and mature, with dim (but no too dim) lighting and a lot of dark wood, which I loved. Saw a few families at a couple of the booths and a few groups of guys having a Guy's Night drinking beer and watching College Basketball on a couple of the t.vs. But somehow you still feel like you're in your own little bubble even if you're in the middle of the floor.
The drinks were beautiful and tasted amazing!♡ My bestie wanted to visit Yard House on our Food Adventures in order to try their beer selections and I wanted to try their drinks. Neither of us actually looked at the food options until an hour or so after we got there. ^^;
But we were happily surprised once we received our food orders, as the food is just as fabulous as the drinks. Both presentation and taste. My bestie ordered the Fried Calamari, which was perfectly cooked and came with a Tartar sauce that had a kick to it like salsa (we were honestly kinda amazed at that combo being well pulled-off lol ) and a sweet Marinara sauce (that I was tempted to just eat by itself, it was that good ).
Drinks: Malibu Peach (I wanted to order 5 of these but knew I'd be under the table if I did. Dangerously Delicious and ever-so-pretty) Black Orchid (I took way more pics of this than I probably should've, but It's A Truly Gorgeous Drink and it tasted like candy. Yet another Dangerously Delicious drink lol ) Lavender Drop (Honestly, it's really relaxing and the first thing I thought upon first taste was 'Can I make this at home? I could definitely drink this every night.' XD Personally, I love Lavender. But, if you don't like Lavender though, steer very clear of this one because taste wise and scent wise it is Very Very Lavender lol It has a crisp and clear taste so it's not overwhelming, but it is like 90% Lavender )
Food: Sesame Shrimp Noodles: Lots of veggies, lots of shrimp, and oodles of noodles lol I ate past the point of feeling full simply because the taste was on-point and I couldn't get myself to just request a to-go box.
Lobster Garlic Noodles: This was actually my bestie's food order that I stole multiple bites of before my food came out. I gotta say that if I wasn't on a holiday budget, I'd have ordered this as...

Raw Tuna Poke Nachos Made Me Sick !
Follow up: After waiting 9 days, I finally heard back form Gallagher Bassett yesterday, I was asked questions, all they wanted was a doctors test results proving I got sick from eating Poke Nachos at Yard House MDR. After almost a hour on the phone, Sabrina’s only offer was to have someone contact me again from yard house guest. Thanks for nothing Yard House! ———————————————— I received a email response from yard house yesterday stating someone would contact me by days end. It’s the next day and I still haven’t heard anything. They could care less about customers.
—————————————————— 0 stars: Warning: After eating poke nachos I was sick. If you get a case of food poisoning/stomach bug from the Yard House or any other restaurant go the hospital or your doctor immediately, don’t wait for assistance from the restaurant or their insurance company, all they will do is give you the runaround to avoid any liabilities or costs to them.
I’ve been a longtime customer of Yard House and eaten there many times. I ordered a poke nacho appetizer (raw tuna) and a few beers with friends Tuesday after seeing a movie.
I woke up in the middle of the night around 3am feeling queasy, and then proceed to spend the rest of the morning hours making way too many trips to the bathroom with a extremely bad case of explosive diarrhea.
I reported the food poisoning/stomach virus online and called the manager at 11am that morning when the Yard House opened. The manager on Wednesday apologized and was going to tell Gallagher Bassett and they would be contacting me to check my condition and would be offering assistance if needed.
I stopped at CVS late that morning to buy Imodium to hopefully decrease my symptoms.
I never received a call Wednesday or Thursday, so Friday morning I called Yard House to report my diarrhea had not gone away and that I never heard from GB, again the manger said he would call them, later in the afternoon I received voicemail from YH stating GB was contacted once again and a message was left about my case/complaint.
I not holding my breath waiting, needless to say after this experience, I will no longer be a customer of Yard House restaurants.
Avoiding customers is unacceptable!
I block out my bartenders name on my check pic, she was wonderful as always,...
Read moreAn overall solid experience. Came here twice throughout my visit to LA as it was right across from the hotel where I was staying and was definitely a fun spot to go. The first time around I sat at a table with some friends, and the appetizer that was my personal favorite was the four cheese spinach dip. The first time I went there I ordered the Hot Chicken Sandwich and upgraded the fried to parmesean truffle fries. To be perfectly honest, their regular fries are infinitely better than the parmesean fries. The Parmesan fries were soggy as well, which made them even less enjoyable. I would recommend always getting their regular fries, which are pretty good!
I was a little disappointed with the chicken sandwich, but I think it's just because I'm not too much of a fan of the sweet+spicey flavor combination. Luckily, I had the opportunity to try my girlfriends meal, the fish and chips, which I found to be pretty enjoyable! Was definitely much better than what I had originally ordered.
The second time I ended up getting the Spinach dip again with my girlfriend, which was good like last time! This time I asked the bartender what they thought about the cheesesteak, which they personally said wasn't a great choice (to be fair, it usually never is outside of philly)
He ended up recommending me to get a burger, which I happily did. I ordered their cheeseburger, and I wasn't disappointed. It wasnt life changing but the quantity and quality matched what I would expect at the price point, along with the good fries (the normal ones).
My girlfriend ended up getting the (carnivore?) pizza, and she enjoyed it a lot! Personally I felt it was just okay, but it might also just be my taste so I want to give as unbiased of a perspective as possible.
Overall, the service was great, and it made it a good experience. My girlfriend also said she really enjoyed the drinks as well, which they have a pretty wide selection of. The bar was also lively and had a lot of people there.
If you're looking for a solid meal to spend some time with friends on a night out and get some drinks, I'd definitely recommend you check it out, it won't break your bank like some of the other restaurants in LA will.
P.S. If you're trying to cut down on calories this is NOT where...
