Michael Martin and Antedote save lives, pure and simple. My nephew was having a rough time at school, dealing with some bullying and some other early mental health issues. I found out from his mom that he had started dabbling in drinking alcohol. At 16 years old, that doesn’t work for our family. I looked around and spoke with some people I know in the industry, and 3 different friends pointed me toward Antedote. My nephew went, begrudgingly at first. But within about two weeks I began to see some small changes. It has been a little under 3 months now, and I don’t even recognize this kid. He is more confident, interacts with others with integrity, and worked out all the stuff at school. He actually enjoys going to groups at Antedote. Antedote is a fantastic place for young men to find themselves and course-correct in early adulthood. The facilities are incredible, including a basketball court, gym equipment, TV/video-games, group therapy space, and a full sauna/cold plunge room. The staff are fantastic, led by Antedote’s co-founders who come from a successful background of both operating and establishing well respected treatment and mental health facilities for men. This is the kind of place that I wish I had been able to attend when I was young. I think this is the kind of organization that actually has a chance of reaching young men, a demographic that is notoriously hard to break through with. Couldn’t speak more highly of this place.
