Tl; dr: DONT GO HERE TO GET YOUR KEYS COPIED.
Unfortunately, had a very bad experience with this store. Staff is fine, and the store has a variety of products for convenience.
I came here to copy 4 keys: a house key, 2 building keys, and a mailbox key. The house key, and one of the building keys worked fine with no problem (still using them), but the other building key in the mailbox key did not work. They either didn't go in the hole, or they went in, but wouldn't turn.
The mailbox key actually had a very obvious issue where there was a clear part where they didn't seem like they finished cutting all the way or their machine wasn't capable of reaching that far into the key. It was also extremely sharp, sharp enough to cut your fingers or cut your pocket.
I called, they said to bring it back, I went back, they did some more refining on the keys, and I went home to try it again with no improvement. Tbh I'm not sure if they did anything.
I called, did the same thing, still no luck with the keys. When I called back this time, the manager got mad and hung up on me, saying this was impossible.
I went back, hoping it was my one last time, to ask for a refund. They threw my keys out so I definitely deserved my refund at that point. Apparently, their refund process has gotten very strict since covid, and they said that their business manager needs to be present to issue a one-time code to process the refund. Also, apparently the business manager is very very busy is only available at spontaneous times without a schedule.
They took my number and said they'll call me when the business manager is available. Waited a few business days with no calls, so I called to follow up. Store manager took my number (again), said the business manager just left 2 mins ago, and said he'll call back.
Of course, have not received a single call back and don't expect to. I don't care about the money, but this service was just a waste of my time, and surprised that there are still businesses that can't issue refunds. Or maybe they can, and they just...
Read moreI’ve visited this store a few times for small replacement parts (nuts, washers, crosspieces) for my daughter’s scooter, as well as to copy an old key. It’s a great local hardware store, well-stocked, with super friendly and helpful staff. It’s now my go-to for small hardware needs. Being able to see and test parts while getting expert advice makes it so much better than shopping on Amazon....
