Cesar Chavez Blvd is changing rapidly. When it comes to getting a haircut, I think most of us like the reliability of a regular barber. Yet, finding a decent barber at fair price, may lead you to lots of searching. Plain truth is LA is pricey and hair services are no exception. If your style is buzz cut or big huge wavy curls, you might find a better suited pro elsewhere that might even cut for $15 bucks. I did the $15 cut at my local neighborhood barbers. They took longer, created scalp irritation, talked trash to each other, and popped my eardrums with music while I impatiently waited for the haircut to be over. That, I won't ever do again! Do your research. Cream Shoppe is definitely the better deal AND as I've known for years now, a reliably great haircut each time. Today was no exception. I hadn't had Lino for a personal cut in a while and during Covid, having the shop to myself was kind of nice. (For now appointments only). It's my birthday tomorrow and got a fresh set of prescription lenses that I needed a cool cut to match to. Following my wishes and receiving best advice how to achieve the final look, Lino really made my day. Feeling good and feeling fresh for the B-Day weekend. Enjoyed taking with you today Lino and I'm super happy with my hair! Thank you. Until next time.

I visit The Cream Shop #2 and would recommend this place to all my LGBT+ friends for an amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely comfortable and welcomed. The vibe of the place is incredibly chill, and I actually enjoyed myself throughout the entire visit. The barbers here are always willing to provide exactly what you ask for. They even suggest experiments that would work well with your face shape and add cool shaved-in designs. The attention to detail is impeccable, ensuring that you leave looking sharp and clean-cut with major care and support. What really stood out to me was the atmosphere of inclusivity. Everyone is welcomed and supported for who they are, with no pressure or issues. The conversations during the haircut showed genuine interest and care for the customer, making the experience even more enjoyable. As someone with thick and dense hair, especially when grown out, I appreciate the 110% effort they put into getting the cut right. Their dedication and skill are evident in the final result. I highly recommend The Cream Shop #2 for anyone looking for a top-notch haircut in a welcoming and supportive environment. Big shout out to Cy for the haircuts and Lino, the owner, for being awesome that keep me with coming back!

I asked for Betty bangs and now I look like I have a bow hair cut. I’m so sad. I paid $20 for something I could of done at home. It took me so long to outgrow my messed up bangs. Next time just do us a favor and say you don’t cut bangs. Now I have to wait another 2 years for them to grow out evenly.

I've been a loyal customer at this barber shop in Boyle Heights for quite some time now, and I can't recommend it enough! Lino, my barber, is an absolute magician with the clippers. Every time I walk out of the shop, I feel like a million bucks and I get compliments left and right.

The atmosphere here is unbeatable. The moment you step in, you're greeted by the friendly and lively staff, including Jacob and Brenda, who are not only skilled but also know how to make you feel right at home. Their people skills are top-notch, and it's clear they genuinely enjoy what they do.

One of the things that drew me to this place initially was the unique and cool vibe it exudes. The shop is adorned with awesome Halloween-themed posters that add a touch of spookiness to the ambiance, and the Star Wars pops collection adds a fun and nerdy twist. And the music – oh, the music! It's super chill and sets the perfect tone for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The variety is impressive, but it's always consistently cool.

Give them a visit – you won't be disappointed. Can't wait for my next haircut and another round of great...
