Edit: It seems the owner likes to spend much of their time leaving snarky and aggressive replies to real customers. Clearly my opinion is shared by other reviewers, some of whom I see the owner has also decided to reply passive-aggressively to. As noted in my original review below (which you'd realize if you'd actually read it), I did in fact try both the double matcha and lychee matcha with my friend, and we agreed even the double matcha was not strong in flavor and grainy. I don't doubt that some people may like the lychee matcha combination, but I personally did not think it went together, and the matcha foam, even if not intended to be very strong, tasted like nothing at all. We went down the street to The Alchemist afterward and got another matcha each, which was much more solid. It's great that you use high-quality matcha, but I could buy the most expensive steak at the store and it would still be chewy if I don't cook it right! Obviously some people will like it and some won't, there's no need to condescendingly "tsk tsk you're on Santa's naughty list" to a grown person you don't know. I don't make a habit of leaving reviews (you will see that I have 2 other ratings, if not reviews, for separate businesses) but felt compelled to if it was particularly offensive. Hope this helps!
Sadly the double matcha was watery and pale, and the lychee matcha cream top did not taste like matcha at all (and was also $9 for a tiny cup). You can find much better, strong-tasting ceremonial grade matcha at other places - unfortunately does not live up to the...
Read moreI stumbled upon this gem of a coffee shop, and I’m so glad I did! The drinks are top-notch, and they have a great assortment of pastries and desserts, including some delicious vegan options.
The Chai Cloud was amazing, and I highly recommend getting it with oat milk for the perfect mix of spice and creaminess. The mocha with oat milk was also fantastic—smooth, rich, and satisfying. If you’re in the mood for a treat, there's a sizable amount of dessert. With vegan options. I got the vegan tiramisu chia dessert and matcha chia dessert were both incredible. If I had to pick I would get the tiramisu. It tasted rich and decadent but if you want a lighter dessert I would go with the matcha Chia dessert.
One of the coolest things here is how customizable the drinks are. They offer vanilla and other flavored syrups, and you can request how much sweetener you want when your drink is made. But what’s even better? They provide bottles of sweeteners so you can fine-tune your drink to your exact preference at your convenience, love that level of control!
The ambience is great, with comfortable indoor seating and a chill outdoor patio. The space has a stylish design, nice utensils, and easy parking, which is always a plus.
If you're a coffee lover who appreciates quality drinks, tasty pastries, and the ability to tailor your sweetness level, this spot is a must-visit. I’ll...
Read moreOverhyped; was initially interested in their interleaving of music and coffee together Unfortunately, was left disappointed by the odd and rude customer service when the cashier made me repeat saying my order multiple times asking for lemon mascarpone cake and the guava matcha which ultimately resulted in me not proceeding with ordering the mascarpone cake because he could not seem to understand me? He acted as though he had never heard of the word mascarpone before although it was on the menu. It was a very odd experience; there were not loud noises in the cafe (nor music) and the only people present were the barista, the cashier, and my group, so it was simply an odd experience. Guava matcha was bland and underwhelming sadly; not comparable to matchas from cafes like Archives of Us or Community Goods. The outdoor area is a little plain but there’s ample seating. It can get a little cold as there seems to be a wind tunnel. Parking is either street parking or residential parking. Finally, they made our friend’s drink wrong which is fine (but again, it was not...
