The food was ok, but the portion was way too small for the price.
I got the Mole. The chicken came in cut cubes instead of the entire breast. It was maybe 1/2-2/3 of a regular chicken breast. The small precut portion looked like it was from the kids menu. (Still hungry.)
The chicken was a bit overcooked and dry. Semi saved by the generous sauce portion.
The mole sauce was decent. Middle of the road in taste & texture.
The rice was cooked well but plain, no veggies. The beans ok. Both, again, child sized portions.
Homemade chips are really good but the salsa is a watery, flavorless, no heat disaster. Would have given the place 4 stars instead of 3. That's how bad the salsa is.
If the portions were bigger or priced lower, I'd return. The food itself was good enough to try another item from the menu. But probably won't return because i don't want to pay thirty buck for a dinner & drink and still be hungry. Not even satisfied and snack later. I'm legit...
Read moreI recently visited El Rio Bravo to order albondigas and was disappointed by the customer service. Initially, the staff member at the counter incorrectly told me they didn’t accept Apple Pay, only to later confirm they did. Upon realizing her mistake, her attitude was followed with dismissiveness, especially when I politely requested extra utensils and lemon, which were not included in my order.
To make matters worse, when I brought up the issue with a manager, instead of addressing my concerns, I was met with an argument and an inappropriate question about whether I could afford my food. This interaction left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a first time customer. Don't go to this place, if your hungry you're better off...
Read moreMy husband and I found this absolutely quaint Mexican restaurant by accident. While using our Maps in CarPlay, we looked at the restaurant suggestions near us. I looked them up in Yelp and decided to try it out and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious, the milieu was relaxing, and the service was great. We one thousand percent recommend it. The food tastes homemade, it just doesn't get more authentic than that. I had the Sopes and they were by far the best I've ever had. Their Sope itself was soft but lightly crisp on the outside. My husband had the Enchiladas de Mole and the face he made when he took his first bite was priceless. I could tell it took him back to his younger days. This will be our new go to spot whenever we're...
