Even considering how new this bike shop is, I'm surprised they aren't as well known yet. I moved recently and had to find another bike shop, and after going through one with an inexperienced and careless mechanic, I felt so lucky to find this one.

The owner/mechanic, Paula, is very knowledgeable/experienced, professional, and dedicated to ensuring your bike is working as well as possible; she sincerely cares about her customers, how their bikes are working, and is passionate about her job. She is good at communicating and takes the time to explain things clearly and easily so even beginners have a solid understanding.

Paula has always gone above and beyond beyond to help me out with bike stuff and provide high quality service. I’ve been biking in cities across the country for 20 years and never once has a bike mechanic removed and cleaned my crankset during a standard tune up. I've been looking for a reliable bike shop for years. LA Cyclery is finally it. The owner and her staff are always super nice and explain everything clearly. The work is quick and flawless. They're never out to gouge. In fact, there have been times I was unexpectedly charged way less than anywhere else charges. They offer community rides after the shop is closed. LA Cyclery is an all around excellent place to take any peddle powered bike (not sure if she works on e-bikes) for maintenance, an excellent local shop to buy high quality lights and helmets and other gear, and it's a group who fosters a wonderful and inclusive sense of community.
