one of my favorite electrolysis clients referred me to Colby after we finished an electrolysis session and I was admiring her delicate and unique ear piercings. as someone who has 8 ear piercings, all done in my teenage years, and several done by myself (who knew I'd grow to love needles even more in the decades to come?!?), I was excited today to get a new piercing by a master in an area I hadn't thought of before. Colby mapped out several options for my piercing (which turned out to become three, by the way...) by marking with a delicate sharpie in the spots he felt would look best and letting me check them out in a mirror. He offered his ideas in the most subtle but supportive way, and then totally rallied behind my choices. In the end, I got this incredibly beautiful piercing in the inner conch area of my left ear, using one of Colby's gorgeous rose gold and tiny diamond studs, and then on my right ear, he enticed me into two rose gold hoops in the upper helix area. my new piercings are so delicate, feminine, yet bold and badass. the pain was completely tolerable, and not unlike getting a tattoo (or as some of my clients say, after you've finished one area with electrolysis), you're ready for another!
speaking of additional piercings, my mom was here visiting from her home in New Orleans for Thanksgiving week, and when I mentioned I had a piercing appointment scheduled, she said, "you know, you were the one who gave me my 2nd piercing when you were in high school!" I had almost forgotten, given that it was more than 25 years earlier, but when I spontaneously asked if she wanted to join me in getting a new piercing, she said, "sure, why not?!" she joined me at my appointment with Colby and he walked her through the process of getting this beautiful pyramid stud in her right lobe, which looks so lovely on her. not bad for my mama in her late 60s! suffice it to say, I sure was smiling, and feeling very grateful for our shared experience getting pierced by such a kind and compassionate person.
thank you so much, Colby and Josh (who also helped us with jewelry, aftercare, and suggestions). we'll be referring people your way, treasuring our new piercings, and as you predicted, I feel quite confident we'll be back for more. Highly recommend 12/10! The jewelry selection is also really well done....
