Foursquare Heritage Center - The Parsonage of Aimee Semple McPherson — Attraction in Los Angeles

I have a dear friend who I've known for 14 years was finally retiring from her job at the Foursquare Parsonage. Christmas Time I ALWAYS go pay her a visit, and I give her a present. I went to her back in early December 2012, on the second darkest day of my life. My precious maternal Grandmother had died, I had not seen my grandmother in nearly FOUR years. I remember holding that grief inside me for two days, and when I sat down with her inside that Parsonage, surrounded by the decorations, and beautiful ❤️ trees I finally let go and CRIED MY EYES OUT. my dear friend always encouraged me to "Keep Trusting in God", and I KNOW this story is appropriate for this time of year. For those who read these journals, If you are able to go to a person (s) that LOVED you and gave you strength, visit, call, or write that person(s) and tell them you are GRATEFUL for the LOVE, STRENGTH, and SUPPORT they gave you. Everyone in our group raved about the tour that Jacki gave us of the parsonage and the temple last month. Our group ranged from a Presbyterian pastor to an atheist, and others in-between. But we all loved hearing Jacki's stories and were blown away by her knowledge of Aimee's life and the building's history. My favorite part was the shower. When I heard that Kathie Lee Gifford used to come here to sing in the shower because she said it had the best acoustics anywhere, I had to try it out. She was right!
